We had a Proctor Silex coffee maker for 8 years when it decided to go out on us one morning! We were devastated and surprised all into one! First, you mut know that my husbands mom and gone through 8 coffee makers in like 2 years so we knew quality on most coffee makers must have dropped. Either way we knew we wanted to stay with Proctor Silex. I went and did my shopping and came acoss this little guy. Still it makes 12 cups and is a switch model! We knew we didn't want the digital display ones, because those were the ones my husbands mom had die on her. We took it out of the box right away and made some coffee! We are truely impressed! For the price we paid, it makes really good coffee and is making coffee every morning now for us. Second, our original Proctor Silex lasted 8 years, that is what surprised us! We know you always get what you paid for, but with this it was that and then some! I am usually loyal to things that have lasted, and we will be for awhile, especially if this new one lasts us that long! Highly recommend! Love the output of the coffee maker and it is easy to use! Great buy also!
