I have had this coffee maker for more than five years and it is still working without fail. I clean it every six months or once a year. I am hoping that this coffee maker will last me more than 10 years. I had a Sunbeam coffee maker that lasted seven years and It was really great. Brew Performance Whatever kind of coffee I use it always taste delicious after it has brewed. Ease of Cleaning To clean this coffee maker does not take any effort it is easy and to clean I use vinegar in the water and run it through once and then again with clear water. Ease of Use To use this product is very easy; just pour water and add the coffee and let it brew. Design I love the design and I like how it has a clock to tell time. Durability This coffee maker is very durable and will probably outlast me more than seven years as my Sunbeam before this one. I only have one thing that I dislike about this coffee maker and that is that the hot plate from the coffee maker does wear off easily.

We have this coffee maker at our office. My concerns are that often there are grounds in the coffee. The basket is difficult to make fit and this causes problems when brewing. The basket has filled with water and that causes even more grounds to get into the coffee. The lid has also sprung so doesn't fit correctly. The coffee does taste fine though.

At our timeshare, that we spend several weeks a year, the coffee maker we use is the Proctor Silex 12 cup. I turned it over and found out that it is this one. I like the fact that it is a 12 cup size, and not a small one, that hotels provide. It is fairly sturdy. You lift up the top, and there is the basket to add your coffee filter, and coffee. I like that you don't have to pull it out. Then around the edges of it is where you pour the water. The pot is sturdy. The button for switching it on and off is at the bottom. It shows the level of water that you pour in, down the sides of the unit. I brew a pot in the morning, switch it off, and then microwave a coffee, when I fancy one. This is a basic coffee maker, at a reasonable price. Brew Performance It works each time. Ease of Cleaning I leave it to the cleaning crew that do it once a week. Not really I put the coffee pot into the dishwasher before leaving the unit. Ease of Use Straight forward. Design Very basic. Durability These coffee makers get a lot of use, and stand up to it fairly well.

Proctor Silex is a brand name that I am beginning to trust. I own many Proctor Silex Kitchen appliances. I thoroughly enjoy my Proctor Silex 12 cup coffee maker. This coffee maker is in the same design as many traditional coffee makers. I purchased it because I found the price was within my budget. And the coffee tastes really good. This coffee maker brews the coffee quickly. And it tastes great, Cleaning the Proctor Silex 12 cup Coffee maker , I find is neither above or beneath and other. It takes about the same amount of time. And there are the same issues of coffee stains. This coffee maker is sturdy and I believe will last for the long hall. If you desire an inexpensive coffee maker that does not look cheap and has durability the this is the one for you.

This coffee maker was given to me as a gift by a friend for Christmas one year. I was always complaining that my little coffee maker I used regularly was not big enough to take care of the coffee needs whenever I would host parties or families or friends, as I often like to do. Perhaps I do simply know too many coffee drinkers, but I think it makes a huge difference to have a 12-cup maker instead of a 4-cup maker, y'know? I can even have some of my heavy-coffee-drinker friends over now, and this will keep up with them! It's super easy to use, especially since I don't have to fuss with filters... you know I go through a lot of filters with my old maker, as many batches as I'd make! Simply put: I just love this coffee maker. It makes my life easier on sooooooooooooooooooo many levels. It's just one big bowl of awesomesauce!

I bought this coffee maker for my wife's birthday as we always like a few cups daily. Lately she seems to run late alot. This causes her to either miss coffee or take a cup to go. Not wanting to waste the extra coffee, I started drinking more than ever before. The thing that caught me by surprise, was that the coffee was much better than my old unit ever made.I have taken possesion of her new Hamilton Beach since my neighbors think I have some great secret for making good coffee.

When it comes to coffee, I am not a particularly picky drinker. I have heard some of my coworkers saying that they have to use some super duper coffee makers, but for me, I think the Hamilton Beach coffee makers are adequate. This coffee maker is easy to use, has a large capacity, and easy to clean as well. Best of all, the result is consistent. I can reasonably expect how the brewed coffee will turn out. This is important because I don't like surprises. Like I mentioned, the coffee maker is easy to use. I can just put the water, the filter, and the ground coffee in, and then turn it on. I do not have to do any complicated programming. The reservoir is easy to take out. At first I wasn't sure if I liked the black color, but it works out because it doesn't get dirty easily. It is also easy enough to quickly wipe down the exterior. My only minor complaint is that the cord is not quite long enough, so I have to keep it fairly close to the outlet.

I was on a Hamiliton Beach kick this past Christmas and bought this new coffee maker.  I love its 12 cup capacity and ease of use. I like to have large crowds over my house and it's always nice to have a full, hot pot of coffee available.  This unit is very reliable.   Pros:  Brews very evenly.  Looks sleek.  Doesn't take up too much counter space.  Cons:  I find that the carafe leaks (or drips) as I begin to pour a cup of coffee sometimes.  It's rather irritating to try and figure out the correct angle to pour first thing in the morning.  But I guess it just takes some getting used to.  I also finds that it brews rather slow.  But if the first cup o' joe is good, I can over look that.  I really wanted to buy a Keurig or a Tassimo, but because I am cost-conscious and practical, I didn't want to be buying the more expensive single use portions of coffee forever---so I went with the more traditional and "old faithful" type of coffee maker.  Overall, I am pretty pleased.

The Hamilton Beach 48571/48574 12 cup coffee maker is a great coffee maker for the price of it. This Hamilton Beach coffee maker is very simple to use and to operate. It takes less than five minutes to make a good 12 cup hot pot of coffee. Over the years we have used many different types of coffee pots, most of them have been expensive and have become unreliable in a few short months. The Hamilton Beach 12 cup coffee maker has been the best money we have spent on a coffee maker so far. Basically one pours water in to the back of the pot undeneath the lift up lid, whilst the coffee filters and coffee, are placed in the front part. The other good thing we found about this coffee pot is that the coffee remains hot for quite a while after the coffee is made. We use the Hamilton Beach 48571 / 48574 12 cup coffee maker on a daily basis and at the moment we would not choose to use anything else.

I knew the name Hamilton Beach but never knew what a great coffee maker they had Im glad i gave it a shot. Since I was a little kid there was only one brand of coffee maker in my home so as I grew up that was the same brand I relied on. After having to replace many coffee makers ove rthe years Ive noticed one difference of this brand compared to my other pots. This one seems a little more well built and sturdy the glass canister really doesnt leak when pouring a cup, the coffee brews rather quickly and it has this nifty programmable feature to it. I cant rate the program feature because Im more energy conscious and like the fact I can plug it in and brew with out any fuss. The grounds basket is easy to take out and clean and reposition it without any difficulty. When adding water it doesnt slosch all around because the reservoir is plenty big and is see thru. It is plenty small for a counter with limited space.
