Worked better than the regimen prescribed by my dermatologist

Even as a teen, I never suffered from acne. But years later, bam! Adult acne set in. I tried various over the counter remedies, without success, and finally sought help from my dermatologist. He chalked it up to stress and hormones, then prescribed a regimen of prescription topical products and pills. My former roommate was throwing this out, so she gave it to me... I have had poor skin for about 10 years.  I have tried antibiotics, micro dermabrasions, chemical peels, every single over the counter and on the shelf topical treatments and nothing has worked for me.  Someone suggested I give Proactive a try so I figured nothing else has worked this couldn't possibly hurt to try. WRONG! Proactive made my skin worse than it had ever been. I usually suffer from blackheads and whiteheats and red blotchy skin, well after using this I had cystic acne. I am 23 now, but when I was a teenager, I used to have really bad acne on my face, chest and back, I mean REALLY bad. I tried all of the teen things like noxema, clearsil pads, nature's miracle (pills and lotion), cetaphil, everything over the counter. Finally I went to a dermatologist who prescribed me oral medication (not birth control) and a special, really expensive cream that I had to keep in the fridge. Not only did this cream do absolutely nothing, but I had to endure ice cold lotion all over my back 3 times a day! Nope, nothing, nada... Proactif will reduce the breakout intensity, but will do nothing to take care of already existing acne! It will dry skin out also, this ineffective product is also very expensive, — Yes proactif is very strong, it only burn and drys skin out! — For myself and so many others, I suggest a honey mask for a minium of an hour or overnight over your face, (1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon, 3 tablespoons of honey mix into a paste), Also in the morning wash with a mild cleanser, like a 2% saltilyc acid cleaser at strongest! I started using proactive about 3 years ago. My skin has not always been perfect. I had an issue with a lot of redness on my skin and those annoying little white bumps but, my mom had ordered proactive for both my sister and I, so I decided to try it. I would say within the second week of use I noticed the little white bumps starting to go away! It took a little longer for the redness to start fading.     I did enjoy "proactiv solutions" wonderful fragrance and non-drying feel at first. But for me, because I am a woman in my 30's, I found that the washes, lotions, and the pore refining mask, did dry my face, and revealed fine lines after about a month of using it. I first bough ProActiv to prepare myself for my wedding. I break out occasionally; mainly during ttom. Anyway, this product really dried out my face! And not just a tight kind of dry but a skin flaking dry! So I switched to the sensitive formula. This was a lot better, but to be honest I still broke out every once in a while. I contacted customer service and they stated it can take up to 3 months. Well, 5 months later I'm still breaking out occasionally. Like probably everyone under the sun, I had seen the proactiv commercial and was amazed. I don't have real bad acne but I do have breakouts every now and then, so I thought finally somethingthat will prevent my breakouts! I recieved my shipment and I immediately began to start using it. Pro-Active is like the only acne medication that convinced me it would work. The disappointing part was that it didn't. It wasn't just me either. It was several of my classmates, even my teacher! If you want to know if this item really works, the answer is YES! I have not only sold these kits on eBay and I am also a user of the item. — Before I started using the 3pc kit I had tons of bumps on my forehead as well as a few on my cheeks, which started when I was a teenager. At first, i was skeptical of Proactiv. I had seen the infomercials of the "miracle" results.
