Proactiv Solution Review

Even as a teen, I never suffered from acne. But years later, bam! Adult acne set in. I tried various over the counter remedies, without success, and finally sought help from my dermatologist. He chalked it up to stress and hormones, then prescribed a regimen of prescription topical products and pills. None of this worked, so I went back and got a different prescription, which still didn't work. Finally, in desperation, I tried ProActiv.

Normally, I don't buy anything hawked in an infomercial, so I was skeptical about the effectiveness of the product line. To my surprise, ProActiv Solution worked for me! After three weeks, my skin cleared up, and I've been acne-free for months. I am pleased with the results, although I think the price is a little on the high side for what you get. Still, it beats prescription anything!

The pros are that it worked for me, the regimen is easy to follow, and you can use a small amount of the product to get results. I will say that if you go off the product line, you might see the acne return, mine did. Now that my acne has cleared, I use it just once a day and have totally clear skin. The formulation has never bothered my skin, which is normal with an oily T-zone.

One con is the price, which I think is a little high given the ingredients. Still, since I don't use very much product, I can make it last a long time. Another drawback is that to get the best price, you have to join their "Clear Skin Club" which means that you give them your credit card number and agree that they can ship you the product every so often. I found that the shipments were coming too often and that the products were adding up on my shelf, so I finally called ProActiv customer service. After explaining the problem, they paused shipments for several weeks, then agreed to resume shipments less frequently. Customer service was very helpful and courteous.

One other comment I have is that it takes a long time for the product to arrive after it ships, about a month, but that is probably just because I live in Hawaii, so it literally ships over here on the U.S. Mail boat. Overall, I would recommend ProActiv Solution, because it solved my acne problem, and breakouts are now few and far between.
