I hate to say it, but ProActive just didn't do it for me... it was a sad informercial regret in my acne-fighting past.
I felt that the cleanser and the toner were both too mild for the kind of acne that I face (deep in my pores, often under the skin and very red). My face felt good and it did make my skin smoother, but the under-surface zits were still there, just as angry as ever.
My personal opinion is that if you wash and treat your face everynight that you shouldn't need something like ProActive. I think that the reason that ProActive works so well for so many people is because it forces them into good skin habits. Truthfully if we followed the same steps with any multitude of acne treatments, our skin would get clearer. Part of the trick is just getting to that sink and washing and treating your face... once you do that, the product doesn't matter as much as your clean skin does.
