I have been struggling with adult onset acne since my early twenties. I went years without treating it as anything more than my own fault. I didn't clean well enough, I was eating the wrong things, I picked at my face too much. I thought if I could change all of those things then I would have clear skin. Eventually, it came to be known, that my chin, in particular was ALWAYS broken out! It never cleared up .... FOR YEARS. I finally saw a doctor who prescibed a topical antibiotic and an internal antibiotic. It cleared my up, but as soon as I finished the medicine, my face would break out again. Finally, I decided that I would just have to try PROACTIV. I had seen the 'informercials' for years and figured that I didn't have anything to lose! When I got the first shipment.... I washed my face and almost immediately noticed a difference. My acne didn't 'hurt' as much as it had the day before, and after every use it 'hurt' a little less. Within two months my face cleared up, and although I still have occasional break outs .... its is nothing like it was before. I have people actually comment on my skin - and can't believe I have ever struggled with acne!

I have suffered with teenage and adult acne (I'm almost 39) and I agree with you, but you have to keep buying and using it for the rest of your life in order to maintain a clear complexion. I had started using Proactiv and used it for about 1 year and my skin never looked better. When I couldn't afford to buy it anymore...WHAM...it came back and looked worse than before. I would love to start using it again, but I just can't afford it.

PROACTIV is a really great product but BEWARE!!! the products actually bleach fabrics/washcloths. So be prepared to be very careful when applying anyplace where you don't want fabric to be bleached. My daughter spilled some on the rug, and as you may imagine I was not too thrilled withthe result!
