I have tried several brands over my lifetime but to no avail, but this one actually works.I am half Italian and have oily skin to begin with.I use it while taking a shower, for I use it on my legs.That is where my acne is and always has been.I also use Melaluka acne cream.Between the 2 I am almost zit free. Effectiveness It takes at least 2 uses to have a noticeable affect that is also with using a good ance medication. Ease of Application I use it while I am taking a shower because most of my acne is on my legs. Convenience It is like most products,just squeeze it out and apply it to the affected area. Side Effects I have been 99% acne free by using this product on a regular basis.It Is a little expensive by itself, but I think it is well worth it at 54 years old. Immediacy It is not immediate, it will take at least 2 days for a noticeable affect.After washing, make sure you use Melaluka acne medication.Between these 2 products you will hardly see any more acne within 3 days.In my opinion.

I used to use ProActiv Facial Cleanser about three times a week, and it did a good job of keeping my skin clear of blemishes, but I stopped using it when I realized all of the chemicals that were in the Cleanser. If you aren't bothered by the chemicals, this product should work really well for you. When I first started using it, I saw results in about two months. It helped keep my moderate acne from getting too bad, and it helped clear up past break-outs. This cleanser has a little bit of a grainy texture that really makes your face feel clean. I wasn't able to use it every day because I tend to have sensitive skin, and it would dry out my skin if I used it too often. This is not the cheapest product available, but it's not so expensive that I couldn't afford to buy it. You can typically purchase this online or at one kiosk stores at local malls. Side Effects I tend to have sensitive skin, and this made my skin too dry if I would use it every day.

I have used Proactiv products for years and I have to say that their Facial, Renewing Cleanser is not my favorite product of theirs. In fact, it may be my least favorite product of theirs. But before I explain why, perhaps I will explain what it is. The Proactiv Renewing Cleanser is white and creamy concoction that has tiny beads in it. You apply it to your face either with your fingers or via a washcloth, rub it in and rinse it off. The cleanser's active ingredient is benxoyl peroxide to fight acne and the tiny beads that are in it are to help exfoliate your face. With that said, the Proactiv Facial Cleanser certainly cleans your face, but it is not without its drawbacks. It is not fast-acting and for me it was downright ineffective. I find that Proactiv's Body Wash works so much better. The Body Wash (description says that it is safe to use on your face) contains a similar creamy green lotion with tiny exfoliating beads, but its active ingredient is salyllic acid. Not only that but it smells better. The Proactiv Renewing Cleanser smells clinical, not therapeutic -- unlike many of its other products, such as the refreshing Body Wash and the wonderful Green Tea Moisturizer. In short, I would recommend other Proactiv products before I recommend their Renewing Cleanser. Also note that Proactiv has come out with a new line complete with a facial cleanser that may be more effective -- so if you have your heart set on their facial cleanser, check out Proactiv+.

Proactiv Facial Cleanser a a great product but a bit pricey. I do not have a major problem with acne, but I wanted to try Proactiv to see if it would clean up my blemishes and breakout acne. And it did, I loved it, but the price was too steep for me to continue using Proactiv Facial Cleanser. Effectiveness Proactiv Facial Cleanser worked very well and made my face very soft and looked amazing. I was pleased with the result of only using one bottle of it. Ease of Application It was very easy to apply Proactiv Facial Cleansers to my face. I did it in the shower, since that is where I usually wash my face. Convenience Convenience of getting Proactiv Facial Cleansers was not very easy. I was not able to find it in any store, so I had to order it online. Now ordering online was not the problem, that was easy. Canceling my reacquiring subscription was the problem. I just wanted to cancel because I could not afford it anymore, but the customer service kept trying to sell me something. Now I understand that it their job, but all I wanted to do was cancel and they kept interrupting me and not let me just cancel. Side Effects I did not have any side effect from it all. I was a great product and worked well. Immediacy I absolutely saw results within the first week of using it. I did not have much acne to begin with, but I could notice a difference in my blemishes being gone and no breakouts.

I've used Proactiv's Facial Cleanser for many many years. It is a great cleanser and does it's job. I have some cystic acne problems on my face and after using this it became less severe. I've recommended it to many people. Some actually purchased it and then thanked me. You just feel clean after using it, fresh and ready to go. Effectiveness For me, it didn't solve all the problems for my skin but it did improve it many times over. I didn't see results immediately but I did pretty quick. Ease of Application How easier can it be but to squeeze some cleanser out of the bottle, apply and rinse. Convenience It's extremely easy to use. I can keep it anywhere. I even have small travel sizes for over-night trips OR longer trips. It really is easy and convenient. Side Effects No side effects other than maybe rubbing too hard and my face being red (from the rubbing too hard NOT from the product). Immediacy Again, I wouldn't say it works immediately, but it works awfully fast.

This was the product that I always used as a teenager, when I could afford it. Proactiv's facial cleansers are really amazing at cleaning the adolescent skin of a teenager, while clearing it of acne and other blemishes. I used to get terrible blemishes under the skin that were painful and red. They would never break the surface and I hated them. I decided to try Proactiv's facial cleanser to see if it made any difference. Their facial cleanser was the difference that my skin needed. After about a week, I could see my skin starting to clear up and the red and painful bumps started to recede. After some initial dryness, I noticed that my skin was soft and clear. The only issue I had with Proactiv facial cleansers was the price. After awhile, I could no longer afford to use it and had to try a different and cheaper product. I did not like that at all. I would recommend this product to any teenager with problems with acne if your family is able to afford it.

I have been using this cleanser for years since it always comes as part of the Proactiv kit. I like it, it's not irritating, but I don't feel like it does anything special. I do like the exfoliating aspect of it. The small beads aren't too harsh on my skin and do seem to make my skin smooth and soft. It's not a bad product or anything, it just doesn't seem like it does much to improve my skin. I still break out on a regular basis, even while using the entire Proactiv line. Lately I been switching them out to more affordable products that I can simply buy at the store. I haven't been noticing much of a difference in my skin, good or bad, so I may keep experimenting. Proactiv is pretty expensive and if I'm not noticing any improvement I might as well find something cheaper. So overall, I like the cleanser okay but I feel like there are comparable products out there at a more affordable price.

I have developed adult acne, that I suspect is hormonal. I was desperate to get my face clear. I of course was one of the people who had to buy Proactive after seeing it on commercials day in and day out. I was really optimistic, but I ended up being disappointed. It wasn't worth the money. After a couple months there was little to no change to my acne. It was a waste of time and putting those harsh chemicals on my face wasn't worth it. (If it had worked I would probably be singing a different tune about the chemicals, but seeing as they did not, I'll stick with calling them bad) I've had far better success with less expensive treatments.

I had watched the commercials over and over and I thought hey why not give it a try? But this product didn't do anything for me and after paying so much money for it I finally cancelled my reorder. My skin cleared up better with clean and clear products than proactiv! Yes its sensitive on skin but it didn't do anything to clear my skin up!

This product does not work. After you buy your first kit, and they send you a second one, it is not the same ingredients as the first. Would not suggest wasting money on this product. Also, takes to long for any effects to happen to your skin.
