So, it's valentines again. The card manufacturers answer to a dull month for sales. Its too late to stop the hype about the holiday that has no grounding in any real history, much like sweetest day, grandparents day, bosses day, teacher day, secretarys day...the list is endless. Every year it seems one more day for cards and flowers pops up to line your wallet with unneccessary guilt.

Not that I am against holidays, and days of remembrance. No no no. I LOVE valentines day inparticular. What woman doesn't? Any day with an excuse to be wined and dined, guilt free chocolate, jewelery and flowers. Who wouldn't love that day? Which brings me to my point. Pro Flowers.Let me say it again...Pro Flowers. The name says it all, they are Pros.

I don't buy from anyone else anymore, I don't bother. I live an excruciating number of miles from my family and loved ones. My best friend is over 1000 miles away and my family further, so I am in the business of keeping online companies in business. The post is my ally and flowers my weapon of choice. I have used all the other companies. The winged foot guy comes to mind. Expensive. One word, thats all you need for them. Plus they have a wonderful policy where if the flower/plant is not indiginous to the region, they substitute. If I wanted to buy someone in the evergreen state (washington where most of my peeps live) an evergreen, I would have them cut one from their own backyard. So I pay for some exotic floral arrangment with blooms from Timbuktoo and they send them an evergreen instead. But I still pay the 150 dollars for the exotic plant. Quite a racket. And they are not the only ones with this policy. Actually, Pro Flowers has the same policy I think but atleast they send "comparible" flowers, or a larger arrangement, or something interesting. Just not what the local florist has growing in their back lot next to the delivery truck. I have been disappointed again and again by trying other flower delivery services and florists and just have learned better over time. If you want them fresh, at a decent price (they always have some sort of sale going on) and want your recipient to get what was in the pretty picture you picked out...Go Pro Flowers every time.
