When Regular Crisps Don't Satisfy, Try These!

4

Over the years I have bought a lot of cans of Pringles; all of my boys had some type of food phobia at some point or another but I knew that Pringles were always a "safe bet" when shopping for snacks. They are neatly stacked inside the tube but are called crisps, not chips. When I saw the new line of Restaurant Cravers I was curious about the taste and crunch; I wasn't disappointed with these but they are incredibly hard to find in this area. Does it really taste like deep fried mozzarella sticks dipped in marinara sauce? Yes and no. The first handful teases your taste buds and gives you a rewarding crunch but the more of them that you eat the less flavorful they taste. Suffice it to say, if you have the willpower you are better off having a serving of these then putting the lid back on them rather than to keep snacking on them. While these are relatively low in sodium (compared to regular potato chips), it's extremely easy to sit there and eat half a can and not realize it. They are made from a potato puree so they are heavy in carbohydrates but when eaten in moderation they are a nice snack. Sadly they are way too thin to be able to eat with any type of dip. As mentioned, these are hard to find in my area unless I got to one of the huge grocery stores. The boys tried these and didn't really have an opinion on them; the like the pizza flavored Pringles as well as the new tortilla Pringles (which are thick enough to dip in a sauce or salsa).
