Princess Cruises - Star Princess Alaska Review Summary

The Princess Star sails up to Alaska out of Seattle Washington. While most Viewpoint reviewers found the service “first rate” one reviewer felt the service had dropped since the mandatory daily tip policy began. Note: If you have problems with your service, you can talk to customer service and adjust your tips accordingly. The two cruisers who had balcony rooms recommended them highly as a great place to enjoy the beautiful scenery. Alaska is an amazing place to cruise to and with Princess’s anytime dinning you can enjoy the all the scenery and eat when you want!

We boarded the Star Princess in Seattle.  It was August 2nd and we were off for a full seven night, 8 day cruise.  The ship itself was magnificient.  It was elegantly designed with beautiful artwork and intricate designs throughout the ship.  I would recommend a balcony room for this cruise.  You...

Our family of 4 travelled on the Princess Star through the Alaskan Inland Passage from Seattle, round trip.  This was July 6, 2008 through July 13, 2008.

In the past we have traveled Princess before and loved the service.  But, this time we found the staff to be very unfriendly and at times downright...

Star Princess is a great ship with excellent service and amenities.  We stayed in a balcony room and loved the view in the mornings and at sunset.  The ship has so many great things to offer.  The entertainment is first rate as is the service.  Highly recommend the martini of the day.  Our rooms were maintained beautifully and the staff was wonderful.  I would highly recommend any Princess cruise but I especially love the Star Princess.

Our Alaska cruise was wonderful.

The food was great. The side trips were will worth the money.

The one missing element was on board entertainment.

I felt that the performers were not fiur or five star. Not real professionals.

The crew were great. The stewart waspleasant and helpful. The International dining roog crew were also very nice.
