Princess Cruises - Star Princess Alaska —
Our family of 4 travelled on the Princess Star through the Alaskan Inland Passage from Seattle, round trip. This was July 6, 2008 through July 13, 2008.In the past we have traveled Princess before and loved the service. But, this time we found the staff to be very unfriendly and at times downright rude. We feel that since the cruiseline changed their policy to the mandatory daily tip, nobody has an incentive to try harder now.
We also had extremely pushy sales tactics for the "Coke promotion", "wine tasting", and salon services. The salon had the nerve to tell me my name had been picked in a drawing and I had WON a facial - at a "discounted" price of $79.95!
After returning home, I talked to others that had gone Princess Cruise Lines in the last couple years and they said the service was very bad on their's too.
I won't choose Princess again.
