Princess Cruises - Coral Princess Review Summary

The Coral Princess received high marks from Viewpoint members, with 100% of them recommending the ship. One even stated, “My Princess Cruise, on the Coral Princess, was the best trip I ever took. I felt so comfortable and stress free that I didn't want to leave.” Reviewers loved the food along with the anytime dinning option which allows cruisers to eat on their schedule. Cruise was amazing, sights and wildlife were more than we expected. This was our first cruise with Princess.  Prior to Princess we had taken 3 Carnival cruises and 1 Holland America cruise.  The food on the Coral Princess was the best food we ever had on a cruise boat; however, the service and staff were the least friendly.  Shows and entertainment were okay, nothing spectacular, but worth seeing.  Room service was not free, there was a "trip" fee of $3 or $4, which we thought was ridiculous. While the service was below average to say the least, there were way too many employees in the buffet...

This was my second time cruising with Princess Cruise line. My husband and I were so happy with our honeymoon cruise to the western carribean, that we book this cruise for our first wedding anniversary while we were still on our honeymoon. Princess cruises in general are a fabulous way to travel. They really pay attention to the all the details that make a vaction that you will never forget. I would really recommend a balcony suite for enjoying the trip through the locks. I think it was wonderful to have all the history of the canal playing while you got to experience traveling "up hill" on the... read full review »

My Princess Cruise, on the Coral Princess, was the best trip I ever took. I felt so comfortable and stress free that I didn't want to leave. The food was excellent. Every staff member I encountered was perfect in every way, and the ship was awesome.

After a year of saving and a year of marriage, my husband and I were finally able to take our honeymoon.  It was a dream vacation of a cruise to Alaska.  We went the second week in September which was the last cruise for the season.  This was my first cruise and I was a little nervous.  The Princess Coral was around 96 tons and held 2000 passengers.  I was concerned about what I would do all day long.  Since it was Sept. and we were going to Alaska, I didn't think I'd be sitting by a pool all day!  I was right about that.  However,  there was still plenty to do.

The service on the ship...

The Coral Princess Cruise to the Panama Canal was outstanding.  We looked forward each evening to the entertain which was excellent.  The staff really did a good job.  Love the cruise director.  Anytime dining is great.  The shore excursions were well planned and the guides very knowledgeable.
