I won't bother to write out the plot for this since it is such a well-known story, I'll just give my opinion of this particular movie.

Pride and Prejudice starring Kiera Knightly is a seductive, romantic film that will leave you sighing with desire and dreaming of love on the foggy moors of England.  I know that when for me, when the movie ended all I wanted was for someone to call me, "Mrs. Darcy."  The film is visually stunning with unique cinematography for a period piece.  You see the dirt and grime of everyday life up close as well as enjoy the splendor and grace of the social gatherings of the time.  The costumes were perfect, in my opinion.  The girls looked superb in their gowns and acheived each of their distinctive personalities in their dress.  You weep for the young lovers as they are torn apart by politics and misunderstandings and cry with joy when they are reunited in the most romantic scene I have ever seen in a movie.  Absolutely beautiful, stunning, and vivid in its complexities (as are all of Jane Austen's pieces) and yet so accessable, it's amazingly easy to understand and relate (very unlike Jane's actual novels, which are beastly to get through).  An absolute must-see (ya'll know by now that's my phrase for amazing movies) for anyone who has ever felt the kindling of romance in their soul.

This was wonderfully done, and great review. I never grow tired of Jane Austen and used to read her novels over and over -- but hey I was an English lit major and got excited about Shakespeare :-)
