I have watched several versions of Pride and Prejudice.  This version is by far my favorite!  This is the only version I would recommend to my firends and family! I have watched it several times. This is the only version I have loved so much I have purchased my own copy of it. I can watch it any time I am in the mood for the "best chick flick ever". Although the version with Kiera Knightly is shorter and may be a better option for those with short attention spans... this version of Pride and Prejudice is the only version I've seen that really does the book ample justice.  A book fo the caliber just can't be reduced to a 2 hour film without losing a great deal of the real beauty of each character.  This mini-series allows for greater character development of each character Jane Austen included in her book. I love the beautiful settings that were chosen and used in this version.  The scenery and homes chosen really help "put you in the story".
