I used Priceline to book a hotel room for my parents anniversary party. I knew the dates were not going to change and that we would need a nice hotel room. We chose the highest star rating in that area and the room rates were listed as starting at $109 per night for basic room. We offered $65/night for 2 queen bed suite since it would be our first time traveling with our 2 yr old son. We got it and actually talked to the hotel after we booked it and they upgraded us to a king two room suite to ease the sleeping arrangements with our son! It was perfect. As long as you are certain you are going and the dates are not going to change it was great. I have not used them since, but would definately use priceline again if the opportunity arose.

The cons of using priceline is that you are required to pay in full if your offer is accepted and you cannot cancel, well you can, you just will not get a refund.
