I love popcorn and I love the ease and convenience of making it in the microwave. But, I don't like all the added butter and salt, even the light versions can be too salty or buttery for my taste. With the Presto Powerpop microwave popcorn popper, I can make popcorn to suit my taste-for a lot less too! The popper looks similar to a bowl with a lid, but it has a special disk that screws onto the bottom of the bowl and then you stick a paper disk inside the bowl. I use two tablespoons of popcorn kernals, put it inside the bowl and put the lid on. I put it in the microwave (1000w) on high for 2 1/2-3 minutes. It doesn't take long before the kernals start popping and the kitchen is filled with the scent of fresh popped popcorn. When it is done, remove it from the microwave, remove the lid carefully to avoid steam burns, and removed the disk on the bottom of the bowl. I eat the popcorn directly from the bowl, plain, no butter, no salt-just the way I like it. And it is cheaper than buying the microwave popcorn bags (you know the kind where a lot of the kernals do not pop!)!
