Presto Poplite Review

We have had this Presto Poplite popcorn popper for a couple of years now & we use it several times a week.  It hold 1/2 cup of kernels & that pops a nice large bowlful.  My husband requested it because we normally popped our popcorn in oil & it became overly greasy once we added butter too.  Now we can pop a nice bowl of popcorn & add the butter afterwards without it being overdone. 

 The only downside, which is not a big deal to me, is that the butter holder (which sits on the top where the hot air hits it) and is supposed to melt the butter, does not get hot enough to melt the butter in the time the popcorn pops unless your butter has already been softened.  That's not a huge deal, but, if you do want to add butter it means you have to dirty another dish.

Those accustomed to oil-popped popcorn may find the popcorn to be a bit dry, but to us it is worth it and we are quite used to it.
