I got this nice little presto popcorn maker as a gift. It is super easy to use and pops the corn kernals quickly. They come out hot and, of course, fresh. It's actually fun to watch the first couple of times. You have to be careful though because sometimes it will spit out hot kernals that may burn you-- a bowl with a high rim might help, but I just don't have one. So, some of the kernals jump out and miss the bowl. My dog is usually happy to find these ones. The machine is loud, but it only needs to be on for a few minutes so, it is not like a dishwasher on for an hour and a half. The only other problem is counter space. If you only eat popcorn once a month, I would go for the microwave kind. Storage can be an issue.

I like the fact that it heats up real fast and starts popping right away, however, the top shoot is not guided right to where when it pops, it pretty much goes everywhere! This is a nuisance because you have to stand there and catch it all before you eat it! If you want a workout before your snack, you may be okay with it. Another downside is how noisy it is. You pretty much have to make sure there is nothing else going on when you start the thing, otherwise, you or those around you won't be able to care for anything else. I suppose, though, for the brief time you're using it, it's not so bad. However, the other downside is that after the popcorn is all in the bowl, watch out to cover it for a little while longer! Otherwise, you will find some of the popcorn trying to break free and plummet to their death as the popcorn still continues to pop in the bowl because it was not quite finished yet! I think I prefer the old-fashioned way of on the stovetop!

Presto PopLite Hot Air Corn Popper Really Pops.

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

I bought a Presto 11431604820 PopLite Hot Air Corn Popper when my old popper finally quit working. I have used  one of these for years and just would not settle for any other brand. I find this popper to be fast and very easy to use. My popcorn comes out fluffy and great tasting. It has a measuring cup that can also be used to melt butter in. This popper uses air instead of oil which is healthier for you. You can pop different amounts of popcorn up to 18 cups in less than 3 minutes. It is inexpensive and worth the amount you pay for it. Why buy an expensive one when you get the same or better results with Presto's wonderful hot air corn popper. You do have to dump out any kernals that are left in the popper when you are finished. Yes you do have to unplug it when finished but this can be considered as a great safety feature. There is no on/off button to deal with either. This popper is very easy to clean also.

Great Invention

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

We've had this popcorn maker for a few years now and it replaced a microwave popcorn maker (which often produced burned popcorn). It works very well, heats up quickly, and does a thorough job popping all the kernels and cooking them evenly. On the other hand, it is super noisy and can be a pain to clean. Just make sure you put any salt, cheese, butter, or oil on AFTER the popcorn is popped and in a separate bowl because you can't really wash the popcorn maker very well. Also, every once in a while, some uncooked kernels will come out and you have to put them back in. In order to turn off this popcorn maker, you have to unplug it from the wall, since there is no on/off switch. This might be a bad thing to some, but it hasn't really bothered us at all. Overall, it's a nice thing to have, but there's no need to rush out an get one if you already have a different one.

Fast and fun Presto PopLite Popcorn Maker

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

This is overall just a gem of a product. It is fast and fun and never fails. The technology is simple and effective. You can make your own flavor after the pop is over.

To me, there is something just so fake and icky about those bag popcorns in the microwave. This is light, healthy, airy, and makes me feel good about eating popcorn. It's a great light snack at night if I just need to munch.

There is something so fun about watching it pop and fly out of the thing. So fun. My kids love it even if it is loud. It's quick and easy for the whole family.

I love the price, too. You can't beat it. I would say this would be a great gift for all newlyweds with a movie. Who wouldn't like it? I sure would love it!

Presto PopLite Popcorn Maker 04820

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

I have been an owner of the Presto PopLite Popcorn maker for quite sometime. I have never seen a machine that functions as well as this one does. The machine does take a few seconds to get warmed up enough to start poping, but once it does get your bowls and butter ready!!! Speaking of butter this Presto PopLite Popcorn Maker features a little dish at the top that you put your cold butter in and while the popcorn is popping it melts you butter perfectly. No more waiting for the microwave to do the work for you!! This machine does it all!!! I have even bought this maching for wedding presents for friends, or it would be a great gift for the movie lover!! I cannot say enough good things about the Presto PopLite Popcorn maker!!

I'm liking my Presto Pop Corn Maker!

Overall
Rated 3 out of 5

My best friend gave me this popcorn maker for Christmas because she knows how much I love popcorn. This popcorn seems to be doing a great job! Things I don't like: There is no on-off switch, you just plug it into the wall and it heats up. I would prefer a switch - more control over the appliance. Also, sometimes I wish for buttery-er popcorn, but you can't make it like that in this popper. It's hard to get it buttery this way.

Now, on to the stuff I like. This popper makes popcorn so quickly - I was blown away by how much it made from such a little bit of kernels. Not only that, but only 3-4 kernels were left unpopped at the end. It made me happy to know I was saving the environment from ye...

Presto Hot Air Corn Popper is awesome to have.

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

The reason that I just love this hot air corn popper is because, if I want a healthy snack this is the way to go. There are times that we need to be careful about the snacks that we eat. Before you know it, like watching TV you can eat more than you planned on doing. This has happen to me, and maybe others, so this you can eat, and not feel bad about it. My popper is very dependable, and it was very inexpensive to buy. The other reason I enjoy using this popper, is because it is also easy to clean. If I have to take a long time cleaning a cooking product, there is a good chance that I won't use it. This will clean up very fast and easy. Since it isn't very big, it doesn't take up alot of roo...

Have A Heart Healthy Snack With PopLite

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

The Presto PopLite hot air popper uses hot air to pop corn instead of using oil. This method of popping corn is a healthier way to eat pop corn. It also allows you to have your same snack with less calories. The PopLite hot air popper is also faster and more economical than most microwave bag popcorns. The PopLite also outpops most of the other leading air poppers on the market by popping your corn up to 30% faster and by having practically no unpopped kernals.

My Presto Poplite pops up to eighteen cups of popcorn in less than two and one half minutes. So I can pop my Popcorn during one commercial and I don't have to miss any of the program! Best of all I have a Heart Healthy snack to enjoy...

Do the pros outweigh the cons?

Overall
Rated 3 out of 5

My husband bought the Presto PopLite Hot Air Corn Popper for me as a gift.  I'd been wanting one for a while and he did a ton of review on this particular popper before he bought it.

When you dump the corn in to the popper, you have to beware of it shooting the corn RIGHT BACK OUT at you.  There is no putting it back in there either, that stuff is massively hot.  I found that tilting it back a little while it was waiting to pop helps* some*.

A frustrating thing I experienced literally in the last 5 minutes was a kernel popping IN THE BOWL.  That caused an explosion of popcorn, which I then got to stop and pick up off the stove, counters and floor.  Joy.

This poppe...

Presto PopLite Hot Air Corn Popper works great!

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

The Presto Hot Air Popper is a great appliance to buy for any family that loves to pop fresh popcorn.  First off it is cheaper to buy this machine and just kernels than it is to buy the bags of ready to pop popcorn for the microwave.  On top of being cheaper, it also allows you to customize the flavor of popcorn (which is helpful if you are or have someone over that has high blood pressure and can't handle salty foods).  Not only that but the top is clear and see through so that you can safely watch the popcorn pop as it gets heated (which to the kids is almost as enjoyable as watching their favorite movie).  Every so often you will get a hot unpopped kernel, but it is not any worse than a bag of microwave popcorn.  It is quite a bit louder than using my microwave, but given all the positive attributes, it is well worth the noise.  All in all this is a great product, and I would recommend it to anyone.

Use the PopLite Popcorn Maker for a healthy, low calorie snack!

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

I have a Presto PopLite Popcorn Maker, and I am completely satisfied it. The PopLite very quickly makes bowls of fluffy popcorn. When I either want to eat a healthy snack or have a snack without having all those unwanted calories, I pull out my Presto PopLite Popcorn Maker and pop myself some popcorn. I never add salt and never add butter, so I am very certain that the snack I am eating is healthy. The PopLite is so very easy to use, just measure and add the popcorn kernels, put the top on, place a deep bowl under the spout, and plug it in. It quickly heats up and soon the popcorn kernels burst into fluffy, white popcorn. The heated air then directs the popcorn upwards and into the spo...

Presto Hot Air Popper is a keeper!

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

The Presto Poplite Hot Air Popper is a great investment for your busy family. Wonderfully easy and fast to use to make lots of healthier air popped popcorn for family movie nights and snacks. It cooks with hot air, so there is absolutely no need for any use of unhealthy oil whatsoever.

Popcorn is a low cal treat and a wonderful way to watch calories. This air popper nearly always pops every single kernel and makes a whopping 18 cups of popcorn in a very few minutes. It is even faster than using a microwave and the popped corn comes out the handy chute and drops right into your bowl placed beneath. It has a handy butter melter as well. It uses your favorite brand of popcorn and is much more economical to use that microwave popcorn too.

I have had mine for several years and have no complaints with it at all. You can make all sorts of amazing flavored popcorns too with so many seasonings. Enjoy a fun, filling, satisfying and healthy snack of air popped popcorn!

Presto PopLite Hot Air Corn Popper is a breeze to use!

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

The Presto PopLite Hot Air Corn Popper is terrific! It’s easy to use and was inexpensive! All you do is place the kernels into the popper; plug it in and the popper does the rest. The popcorn is AMAZING! Just add salt and butter. The popper can even melt the butter for you.

The popcorn from this popper is much better than microwave popcorn, both in taste and the fact it does not have all the added garbage found in the commercial microwave popcorn. This amazing little popper is fast as well as a joy to use, and clean up is a snap as well. The popper is light weight, convenient and fast!....what else could one ask for.

I really do recommend this!

Great price and works great!

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

My family and I have been looking for ways to eat healthier as we're on the go and usually reach for prepackaged snacks as a habit even when we're home. My husband and I decided that the chemicals used in popcorn bags probably aren't the best and we decided to invest in a popcorn maker. The first thing that attracted us to this was the price. We also used a gift card to purchase so we only paid about $10 for it. We love that it's super easy to fill and gets popping quickly! When it comes out, we sprinkle the popcorn with sea salt and use the I Can't Believe It's Not Butter spray butter for our flavoring. Our kids are 7, 6, and 3.5 and they love watching it pop out and into the bowl. As parents, we like knowing that we are in more control of the extras they eat and how much butter and salt. I would definitely recommend this!
