Presto had a great idea when they came out with the Cool Daddy home fryer. The cool touch housing eliminates the problems with most deep fryers being scorching hot to the touch. The lid with filter keeps the greasy smoke out of the air. Consumers say that although the idea is good, the Cool Daddy really does not fry that well, and it’s hard to clean. We use this fryer around the holidays.It's great just place it on the counter top near the stove and cooking is done in one area. Frying everything from shrimp, rice balls, sweet potato fries and even dessert items. it's just a great appliance and does not take up alot of space and clean up is easy. There are so many thing that can be cooked in the COOL DADDY FRYER that would free up stove space. Things cook so fast in the fryer it also speeds up the rime to finish meals when you are cooking for alot of guests. The Presto Deep Fryer-Cool Daddy is a great appliance for everyday cooking. We use it to make french fries, doughnuts, shrimp, chicken, rosettes-you name it!!
I Love the cool touch feature, it makes it safer to use with a six year old around. I also like the fact that you can cover it while things cook, less splattering=less cleanup!! The basket is also a very handy feature.My son loves his french fries for this fryer he says it is just like at the restaurant.
The Presto Cool Daddy Deep Fryer is one of my favorite kitchen appliances. We use this when we want French Fries that taste like they came from a fast food restaurant. We also use it to make ooey-gooey mozzarella sticks. It may add on a little extra fat and calories, but if used in moderation, it is well worth it. I highly recommend this product. Small and light weight, it's easy to store and the oil last for at least 10 uses!

My problem with this item is that it takes way to long to heat up and the power plug doesn't seem to stay in! I also find it messy to clean up after and hard to clean up too! I even have to cut cardboard to place under it in fear that grease / oil will leak everywhere during use not something I would ever purchase again in this brand!
This deep fryer replaced the fry daddy. It is so simple and easy to use both my childen can use it. Not only is it easy to use it is very each to clean.
I got this for christmas last year and it broke the second time I used it.
