Most HelpfulMy son received the Let's Go Fishin' Game by Pressman for his fourth birthday. He is almost six years old now and this is still one of his favorite games. My daughter, age four, has been playing this game since she was two and loves it as well.
I have to admit, I was skeptical when I first saw...

My kids love this toy! It can keep them entertained for hours-- that is, until they fight over the fish... (Despite really liking it, I give it a 3 stars since there are some choking hazards for small ones. The game is directed toward older preschool, but you cant keep infants away since it is so entertaining.)...
review »I have to say I have enjoyed this game as much as my kids, we used to have a compotition on who could catch the most fish,
I'm sorry to say I don't think we have ever played this game by how it was intended ,or rules if there are any.Me and my children had fun just trying to catch fish as there little mouths open and close.
I would reccomend this toy as a cheap buy for alot of fun times.
I bought this game for my daughter during the holiday season because I thought it would be a game that she would enjoy. Boy was I right! My daughter has such a blast playing the game. The main reason why I bought the game is because it was really inexpensive, something you do not see often with toys.
Eventhough she is only a 3 year old, she was quick to pick up on the concept of playing the game. Set up was a breeze, just opening up the package and adding one "C" battery to the top console. After that, you just flip the switch and you are ready to go. The game includes...
review »I purchased this game because of two shrieking kids who swore they would not tear it up...well to their benefit it was almost impossible not to tear it up. The little fishing poles were difficult to grab the fish with since they do not seem to have the teeth they used to have when I was a child. I guess do to safety they scaled back on the serated type teeth used to catch poles. This made it hard to catch the fish, which made it hard for my kids to not touch the fish. Needless to say, when they did catch the fish and set them aside, the little jaws came unhinged. I am not a toy builder and it was...
review »I recently encountered the Let's Go Fishin' game while looking for a gift for a friend's children. It immediately brought back tons of childhood memories of playing a very similar game in the mid-1980's. And honestly, it looks as if very little has changed since then--a good thing!
Don't underestimate the simple game's ability to keep small ones entertained! I remember playing this game for HOURS. The premise is simple, however: Use your fishing pole to "catch" one of 21 rotating fish. It's not as easy as you think! This new version also plays music, adding more fun to the game. The best part is,...
review »I find with this game that my kids either get real frustrated or can;t do it at all. It is very difficult to have the string fall into the fishes mouth. If you use the pole like a traditional fishing pole, it is nearly impossible to catch a fish even for an adult. Instead, you have to hold the pole so close to the fish and so rigid that it doesn't become fun anymore. I have a 5, 7 and 9 year-old and the only one who really likes it is the 7-year old. His older brother finds it boring and my 5-year old ends up getting frustrated and yells at everyone when she plays. So, it ends up not being fun...
review »The 'let's go fishin' game worked very well, it kept us entertained for quite a while. Both my three year old and my five year old could play it together. The only downfall is that the fish were very facinating to my three year old; therefore they wound up everywhere and once they get bent or broken in the slightest, they can't be fixed. The plastic is very thin and brittle, so the fish were broken pretty easily. Also, the fishes' jaws come off, and once they come off, they don't fit back on. On the upside, it's a great game for hand/eye coordination. It also teaches patience, as the kids have...
review »This game can be challenging for my special needs kid, but definitely helps build fine motor skills.
The fish are cute, and the game is fun. I've noticed my son gets frustrated easily with this game though since it can be difficult to get the hook in the fishes mouth. My son actually holds the pole closer to the hook (cheats!) and is makes it easier for him. He still enjoys this game.
It is a little noisy, and acutally makes me feel ill (motion sick) if I play it too long but I am prone to getting motion sick VERY easily.
I still recommend it for another family game option.
This product is not only fun for my 3 1/2 year old but my 1 1/2 year old enjoys playing also, it is and easy interactive game of skill and patience. The colors are bright and we enjoy this game for the whole family. Strongly would advise to and one with children for learning not only the skill levels but the concentration and patience it takes to play.
Both of my girls can play with each other and or with the whole family, this game was a great value, Let's Go Fishing needs to be monitored because the fish do snap apart but we have had over a year and enjoy.
