into pilates, into alternative remedies
This is one of my favorite health reference books. What I like about it is that you can look up any aliment (everything from cancer to irritable bowel syndrome) and it gives you a quick summary of alternatives remedies. For example, it highlights what foods trigger or aggregavate your problems, which provide healing properties as well as herbal and natural remedies. I love the idea of healing yourself simply through food. — If you are averse to medicines or simply want a more natural approach to healing, this is a great resource for you! —…

Of all my many natural health reference books, this is the one that I reach for the most often. An earlier edition of this book was used as one of my textbooks in naturopathic school. I don't favor synthetic drugs at all, not even an aspirin if I can avoid it. So this book has been a treasure chest of information …

This book is an incredible reference! A clerk at the health food store recommended it to me when I was looking for a specific homeopathic remedy for my son's fever. It turned out that they did not have the remedy in stock that I was looking for, but learned sooooo many new options from this book. Every ailment is easy to find and has great details on symptoms, possible causes, traditional treatments, supplements, foods, homeopathic remedies, herbs, essential oils, etc. It was particularly helpful with suggestions for motion sickness when we went on a cruise this…
