I recieved Prescription for Nutritional Healing about six years ago as a promotional book from a health store. I had purchased many smaller books on natural healing, and nutritional books in the past; But I had never come across any other book that is so precise and informative about any ailment and how to naturally treat it, as Prescription for Nutritional Healing.
Natural remedies is a very important part of my natural food and supplement regimine. I don't favor synthetic drugs at all, not even an aspirin if I can avoid it. So this book has been a treasure chest of information  to me; it has replaced all the other books I bought previously. Some of the other books are long departed, some I kept for proof reference's whenever I am sharing solutions with family and friends. I love telling people about the drug free remedies in this book, and where there are no synthetic drugs, there are no dangerous side affects. Not to mention much cheaper than prescription drugs.
I have lost count as to how many people I have refered this book to, and Scores of people have benefitted from it through me sharing the information I leared from it.
I have the second and third edition's as well. The authors are a husband and wife team, Phyllis A. Balch, CNC. and James F. Balch, M.D. Together they have put together a practical reference book to drug free remedies that has helped me tremendously in maintaining good health.
I refer to it at first sign of anything that most people would call for a Doctor's appointment for. It really is that informative; I just look up whatever I have a question about in the extensive reference guide, follow the page instructions and the information and solution are right at my finger tips. Its like the yellow pages for health, everything is in there, from A to Z.
There is a section on Herbs and their usage, a section on Nutrients and dosages for maintaining good health. A break down of vitamin's and the role's they play in the body, and the ill effects that occur without them, and so much more. There are 776 pages of information that is absolutly priceless to anyone who wants to be healthy and live a quality of life that affords them the energy and well being every one desires.
I highly recommend Prescription for Nutritional Healing to everyone, it will be the best reference book on nutrition and natural healing  you have ever read.
