At first it worked perfectly. After about a year, I had to go around can tops 2x or more for the lid to lift. After year 2, it stopped gripping the side of the can easily, skips completely and I now need to go around the can with it about 4x for the lid to lift. This can opener is adorable and even with all of this, I'd buy it again for the adorable factor, but they don't make them anymore.
