I love a good thrill/mystery type movie, so this was on my list of to-see movies. Plus, I like Sandra Bullock and am a big fan of Julian McMahon. This movie does deliver, if you like the type of movies with twists and turns every 5 seconds, and one that takes you back and forth over and over. I don't mind all the twists and other plot turns, etc, but this one was a little too all over the place for me, and I think they tried to make it such a mind bender that they forgot to answer many questions that I found in the movie. I don't like to over-analyze movies, but I found myself doing just that with this movie.

The story:
The movie stars Sandra Bullock and Linda and Julian McMahon as Jim, her husband. The movies starts out as a flash of when they were newly married, before children, and Jim getting his promotion and surprising her with a new, large house and telling her that they have to fill up those extra rooms with children. Fast forward to present, and they have 2 young daughters. Jim works a lot of hours, and apparently goes out of town for business. She is a housewife, and their marriage is lackluster from routine. While doing chores, on a Thurs, she gets a visit from a police officer telling her that her husband has died in a car accident on Wed. Then, from that point, every time Linda wakes up, it is a different day, going back and forth to before the death to after. One time she wakes up and he is dead, the next he is still alive, and she stuggles to put "clues" together to figure out what is going on. After death, she is committed for being crazy because she is the only one who knows she is skipping and repeating time, and knows something is wrong, before his death, as she travels to the days before, she trys to convince him to stay home, love on him more, etc.  In the midst of this jumping, she realizes her perfect life wasn't what she thought is was by uncovering secrets, so as she jumps in time, she tries to change the outcome to save Jim, and her family.

My Views:
This wasn't a bad movie, and the actors did great jobs. I just felt that there was too much going on and too many twists and turns. Except for the ending, I pretty much had the movie figured out pretty early, and that doesn't necessarily upset me when that happens, if the movie is still interesting. I was into the movie throughout, it kept me in, but when it was over, I had to scratch my head and wonder what I just watched. My husband felt the same way. We had a 15 minute discussion after it trying to figure out some of the things that we felt were left unanswered. The movie did have a sort of sweet ending, but it was sad. If the ending was better, this movie could have been great. Maybe if I didn't over-analyze it, I would have liked it better, but I couldn't help it, too many things were just forgotten in the movie. I am not sure I would recommend this movie, unless you really like to analyze and pick apart the plot afterwards.

I understand what you mean when you say how you were left scratching your head when the movie was over. I hate that! lol

It's worth watching, it isn't bad, just confusing. Hopefully you will get it!!! It will be a great ending after sweating from working out on your wii fit! LOL!

My son (Mr----X) saw this and didn't really like it. He loves thrillers but this one seemed to lack something. He advised me to skip it and I did. I will probably catch it on HBO or cable at some point. Great review!

I don't think so, if things don't make sense or confuse us we give up on them. Keep digging. ;)

I agree. I think that is why I tend to over-analyze this movie. I know several people who loved it, but they didn't look too far into it, guess I need to be more like that, haha! Am I asking too much for things to just make sense?!?!?!

Sometimes a "busy" movie is just too much for me to handle...some I have watched many times and still it was just too "busy" and just became a useless movie to me. ;)
