What we wanted 
When shopping for a big boy bed for my son, we decided that we wanted bunk beds. We thought it would give us the option of either having them bunked or separating them and having two singles. We also wanted the beds to be made of dark, very sturdy wood to go with the rest of the tone of our home.

The search began...
I searched and searched. I was blown away at how many crappy bunk bed sets were out there. Most were steel, flimsy and not terribly sturdy. I then turned to Pottery Barn Kids and Land of Nod. While those two stores are pretty trendy, they do generally have nice kids furniture...
