Post Honey Bunches of Oats Review Summary

One cereal that is sweet and still wholesome is Post Honey Bunches of Oats, a cereal made with oats and nuts. This cereal is appreciated for its nutty, slightly sweet taste, its ability to fill you up, the multiple grain flakes, and its great overall taste. Post Honey Bunches of Oats offers “Great Taste and Decent Nutritional Value”, and another reviewer says it is “Sweet and Crunchy- Really a Treat”. The price of Post Honey Bunches of Oats is a little higher than other cereals and the added sugar may be cause for concern among some consumers. Someone here reviewed Honey Bunches of Oats with Almonds recently and it sounded so good that I decided to give it a try.  So the next time I went shopping I picked up a box and am happy to report that it is really yummy and I'd definitely buy it again.

Honey Bunches of Oats with Almonds is sort of like two different cereals to me. I really like sweet cereals for kids and crunchy things like granola but sometimes they're too sweet.  And I like flaky cereals too but sometimes they're boring and not sweet enough.

But the HBOA with Almonds is like a combination of the two.  It's got three diferent...

I've liked Post cereals since I can remember, probably before, even.  I love Honey Bunches of Oats with Almonds, its amongst my favorite cold cereals to date.  The slightly sweet flakes, the crunchy oat clusters, and the thinly sliced almonds make a perfect combination.  Its a great start when eaten for breakfast, its also filling enough that you can have a bowl for a quick lunch or supper.  My whole family, children and adults alike, love this cereal.  Its healthier than alot of cereals I see on shelves (with 10 grams of whole grains, and 10-60% of 9 essential vitamins and minerals), but...

Honey Bunches of Oats with Almonds makes a frequent appearance in our morning breakfast cereal rotation.  It has enough fiber and nutrients that it qualifies as a healthy breakfast, but it tastes so good you don't feel like you're depriving yourself.  I also enjoy it as an evening snack.  The oat clusters are crunchy without being hard to chew like those found in other brands.  The flakes are delicate and can get mushy in milk, but I usually eat it too quickly for that to be an issue.  The almonds provide a nice crunch.  About the only negative I can come up with is that the clusters and... review »

I am not a big cold cereal eater; I used to be, but not so much anymore.  But the rest of my family eats cold cereal; they eat it every morning with the exception of weekends, that's when I cook.  And when I do eat cereal it's usually a combination of Kellogg's Corn Flakes and Kellogg's Cracklin' Oat Bran cereal.  I buy Post Honey Bunches of Oats for the rest of the family.

Honey Bunches of Oats is made up of three kinds of flakes and oat clusters lightly sweetened with honey, hence the name.  The cereal is a good source of whole grain, though the fiber content is not as high as I would...

This is one of the best cereals I have ever tasted.  It is also fairly healthy with whole grains and honey instead of bad sugars like high fructose corn syrup you so often find in breakfast items.  There are also several different varieties to chose from with dried fruit pieces in them.  The fact that there are crunchy parts as well as flakes keeps the cereal from tasting as soggy if for instance your young child causes a disaster that needs your immediate attention and you dont get back to your cereal for ten minutes or so.  I am fond of the different textures of the different types of flakes... review »

If you have never tried this cereal than I strongly advise that you RUN to the store and immediately purchase not just one brand but several.  If you are the type of person that likes to crunch and crunch like I do, than you are going to love this cereal.

It keeps your mouth busy with it's variety of flakes and nuggets and whole dried fruits.  It promotes a healthy heart, is low in saturated fat and cholesterol, and as low as possible in trans fat.  It also helps in reducing the risk of heart disease.  It is filled with whole grain and has 9 essential vitamins and minerals that keep you healthy...

This is my favorite cereal. It's crispy and very tasty with a hint of honey. They make a larger box of this called "Family Size", which I buy at a better price per ounce. I often buy 3+ boxes of this on a trip to the grocery store. I have been eating it for 15 years or so. Everyone needs breakfast and this is a healthy alternative. Great cereal and a must for every kitchen.

I love the Post Honey Bunches of Oats Honey Roasted flavor. That is the best flavor around, OMG!! I swear, I could eat the entire box in one sitting (and it is possible, Ive eat half of the family size box! lol) It's a healthy cereal, with a decent amount of sugar, and it is an excellent choice to have for breakfast. Best with and without milk. LOVING IT!!!

If you are a cereal lover, this just may be your new favorite food.  And if you aren't a breakfast lover, this cereal just may turn you into one.  I love the taste of the oat clusters mixed with the three times of flakes and the roasted honey flavor.  Each bite is a crunchy taste of heaven sweetened with a hint of the honey flavor.  The flakes are made with whole grains, and the kiss of honey adds the perfect amount of sweetness to each spoonful.  Most cereal gets soggy and mushy when it sits in milk, but not this one.  Even after soaking in your bowl of milk, every last bite is just as crunchy... review »

I have been eating Honey Bunches of Oats for a while.  I think it has a great taste, the granola clusters give the cereal some substance and it just sweet enough to taste good.  It is not too sugary, just right.  If anyone out there likes granola clusters, they need to try this cereal.

It does have a decent amount of vitamins and minerals, and the sugars and carbs are not too high, so it will not bring you crashing down like some of the real sugary cereals.  Also, the Honey Bunches of Oats with Almonds is very good too.  If you like granola and nuts, you need to try the one with Almonds,...

I love Honey Bunches of Oats cereal with Almonds. I eat it as a nightime snack. It's excellent with some nice cold milk. It is also fortified with vitamins, minerals and fiber so it's a very healthy cereal. I recommend it for ages 3 and up. And if you haven't yet tried it, you don't know what your missing. It's absolutely delicious.

My all time favorite cereal has been Post Honey Bunches of Oats since they came out with it many years ago.  I even have three kids that love it too.  I love the crispy flakes, the crunchy nut clusters and the cold milk that I put on it in the morning afternoon or the evening.  I even sometimes have them as a snack.  They are so yummy and good for you.  The price is a little much, but I still get them and sometimes they go on sale and I can find a coupon every once in a while for them.  They fill me up and helps me get through to lunch time.  I even tried the Pecan Clusters recently and...

I really like the taste of this cereal, but feel a little guilty about eating it.  It is a little too high in sugar, and so delicious that it becomes addictive!  It has a lot of nutritional value, though, and really is a treat to eat.

I keep a box at my desk at work to snack on throughout the day and I catch my cowokers dipping into it! This is by far my family's favorite cereal from age 7 to 35. We can polish off a box in one sitting between the 5 of us.
