Luxurious accomodations for the money

We got a top-floor penthouse room for off-season rate, and were pleasantly surprised. The 2-bedroom suite had a high-end kitchenette with stainless steel appliances and corian countertops, high 15 ft. ceilings, top-quality furniture and bedding. 2 1/2 baths, including a soaking tub. All-tile floors, crown moulding treatments. A luxury condominium, not a hotel room. The only negative I encountered was that the maintenance crew were working on the elevators and had the emergency fire lights flashing and the doors to the elevator closed. Relaxing Getaway

Portofino Resort was amazing. Our three bedroom condo was very spacious. The three and a half baths helped the day the six of us got ready for a wedding. The balcony wrapped around the entire condo and provided a view of both the bay and ocean.The kitchen was well supplied with cookware, dishes and glasses. The beach was a short walk away but if you preferred to take the tram it came about every 20 minutes. The fitness center was well equipped and overlooked the pools and bay. We lived in the lap of luxury for five days and enjoyed every minute.

We stayed at Portofino over the 4th for 4 nights. The 2-bedroom condo was spacious and well furnished. We had a nice view of the bay from the 17th floor in Tower 1. Maintenance was not responsive. We had a few bulbs missing in some lamps. I called and they never responded...no big issues. Kitchen was well stocked. The Spa and pool areas were well maintained. The staff was extemely friendly. Great Resort

The Portofino was a great place for families. There was plenty to do for all generations. The staff had a night for the kids where they would show a movie pool side. There were many other attractions such as Kayak racing, live music pool side. I would highly recommend the Portofino.

Dining: Short Drive, We talked to "locals" and they highly recommended "Peg Leg Petes". We were not disappointed. The seafood was excellent and the staff very friendly. Prices were reasonable and service was attentive.

What A Surprise!!!

From check-in to departure this was a first class establishment. The decor and accomindations of this property far outweiged my expectations. Had I known it was to be so nice I would have stayed for a week which, is what I intend to do next time.The view of the Gulf was spectacular.Be ready to spend or drive when it comes to dining choises are limited unless you're a big spender.

Recreational Attactions: Short Walk, The most beautiful beach you could ever find on The Emerald Coast
