Bottom-Line: A bit pricy, but the food is good, service reasonably fast, and locations accessible.

I really must say, when you aren't from the Chicago area, and have to drive an hour to get it, Portillo's Italian beef sandwiches simply cannot be compared to!! Couple that with a frosty mug of beer and you have one of Chicago's treasures in front of you! I used to go to the Northlake site when I worked in Melrose Park!

My family and I have eaten at Portillos for years. They have the best hot dogs that you can get however you want. They also have the best Char broiled Chicken Sandwiches. If Ribs something you love wait till you try these mouthwatering ribs. You can get 1/2 or full slab and all for a great price. If you love Italian Beef sandwiches I suggest you try their Italian beef. Especially with Mozzarella cheese. Yummy. You can find anything for anyone at their restaurant. All ages all tastes. And very affordable for a sit down restaurant. Maybe a little bit more than your local fast food joint but 100 %...

I love this place!!! I have been eating at Portillo's since 1998 and maybe even longer than that.....Their food is always fresh, fast and delicious!!! I love that I can get a Beef n Cheese crossaint or a salad with grilled chicken and pecans...and most locations have a Barnelli's so if i'm in the mood for an italian style sandwich or some spaghetti and garlic bread, I CAN!!! I love it!!!!

These are the best dogs in the world.  i have tried them all from chicago to detroit, but these are the best hands down!!
