My husband and I LOVE our Intex above ground vinyl pool! We've had it for about a year or more. Taken it down to re-level the bottom here recently, bought pool floaties/toys and a robot vacuum pool cleaner, a new saltwater generator pump. We have "little" maintenance to do now with the new saltwater system than before. No more chlorine chemicals, no more algae! That's the only drawback was the pump in my opinion didn't pump enough gph so we now have a 2,000 GPH. Our friends and family come over and enjoy it also. The sun heats up the vinyl which heats up the water during the… read full review »

Sunbelt Chemicala Smart Products Liqui- Shock

Last fall while shopping at Home Depot I found a large display of the Liqui-Shock and it was on clearance for $2.50 a gallon, so I filled my cart with 12 bottles for this years pool season. Now normally I just use regular bleach to help maintain my pool but it is only 6% Sodium Hypochlorate (bleach) and this Liqui-Shock is 10%, so at $2.50 a gallon it was a steal since generic bleach around here is about $2.00 a gallon! — — Smart Products Liqui-Shock — — Normally I use 2 gallons of bleach when I first open my pool for the season and then 1 gallon every 2 weeks to… read full review »

This pool is great for the price. It is big enough for our family of four and to have a few friends in too. The set up as far as the pool its self is easy but you have to have a level spot. that is the hard part. you also need to buy the sand to go under it or you will end up with a hole in the bottom at the end of the summer. The chemicals get to be really expensive as well. The pump is a joke so you relly need to go to a pool store and but a good one to keep the price of chemicals down. The feet of the poles are way to small and the pool will not stay strudy so you have to make your own… read full review »

I purchased an Intex round metal framed 48"x24'.  First, it's not an easy setup, lots of work!  The day after setup it collapsed because the feet on the metal poles are too small and therefore sunk into the ground.  Called Intex-horrible customer service, asked for a supervisor, stated they would call me back, never did.  Sent E-Mail, reply stated "we would not replace the parts because they were damaged due to set up on soft soil or loose soil, we warn against it in the manual. If you'd like replacement parts, I regret to inform you that you would have to purchase… read full review »

I am currently on my 2nd Dough Boy pool.  When I sold my other house the pool stayed and when I bought this house in December of 1998 a pool was installed in June of 1999!  The one I have now is a 28' x 48" with a 5 1/2' deep end "MorningDance" by Doughboy and it sure has been put through the hoops!  I have 5 grandkids that practically live here throughout the summer and when I have pool parties I usually have between 15 to 45 people here.  I did have to replace the pump a year ago do to a cracked housing but that was because the tarp I had over it in a really rough winter… read full review »

This pool was very easy to set up.  We set ours up on our patio and used carpet pad underneath to soften the bottom for the kids.  The pool is well worth the money and our family is enjoying it.  Set up time was about 30-45 minutes and doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure it out.   … read full review »

We bought our pool when our daughter was 6 she will be 20. I also have 5 nephews. Our daughter had every birthday party here with at least 15 kids.     We Did have it installed by the company we purchased it from, well worth the extra cost, we where swimming in it the same evening.  The only thing we had to replace the motor after about 8 years, but the liner has never failed us yet.  Can't wait to get it open for another summer. —… read full review »

From start to finish, Vance and Joe Dover have been in constant communication with me. Calls are returned and email and questions are answered patiently and thoroughly. The process has taken a little longer than I expected but the finished product is well worth the wait. I especially like the structured payment schedule so that nothing is paid for until it is completed to my satisfaction. The quality of materials is exceptional and the crews are reliable and courteous. The overall process from start to finish has been really easy and this company has been a pleasure to work with. My son and I really enjoyed this pool. It was a very easy pool to set up, I did it by myself in prob about a 1/2 hour (not including the water of Course) but east to do. I got one of the salt filters and it was very easy to take care of, I didn't have to worry about any chemicals, or people's eyes bruning while they were swimming etc... I enjoyed those days that I could just relax on a raft and enjoy the summer… read full review »

The Frame Set Pool by Intex is the perfect size for backyard fun. It allows the whole family to cool off in the pool, regardless of height or swimming ability. — The pool is reasonably priced for such a large item, is fairly easy to setup and the only real cost you have after the initial purchase is the increase in your water bill to fill the pool. If you buy a fitted cover for the pool you will save even more money by not having to change the water frequently. — The water only comes up to about 3 ft, so kids ages 4 and up can generally stand in the pool without going under.
