Found my HD compatible POLAROID flat screen TV to be somewhat easy to set up.  Did find a problem that was resolved by the service tech.  TV is shipped from the factory for "air" (antenna use) hook up and channels were limited.  Did not find any instructions to get the set from "air" to "cable"...

I bought this 32 inch HD flat screen tv from Walmart in May.  There is a build in DVD player, which is nice, but it malfunctioned within a month after I bought it.  It took four months and several frustrating calls to Polaroid customer service to finally get a replacement part.  That was after I had to carry the big unit in my car to my office in the city because I live way out in the coutry.  Then after lugging it in to the city, the Technician came and come to find out Polaroid sent the wrong part.  The Tech was nice, however, and said when the right part came he would be willing to come... review »

My family and I bought the Polaroid 32" flat screen TV about two years ago and a couple of weeks ago is just stopped turning on.  We had to unplug it at the wall to get it to turn back on...then that stopped working.  Once we finally got it to turn back on, we decided to leave it on until we can replace it (not with another Polaroid)...and now, a few days later...we have turned it off completely because the speakers are making a terrible buzzing noise.  What a complete waste of hundreds of dollars.  Great picture and sound...until it just quit!  Thanks, Polaroid, for a totally crappy... review »

My television started making popping noises within a week. It was so sutle I wasnt even sure if It was just my imagination. Well within one month it made a popping noise and wouldnt turn back on.  Well poloroid warranty tell me they will order my part and send a tech out within a week. no phone call or tech.  1month go buy and they promise. 3 months go by with me harrasing and trying to get the tv fixed. the part finally came but the tech never once called. by the fourth month i had enough and demanded my money back. they gave me the runaround forever....lies and lies. thats why they are bankrupt... review »

Wasted hundreds on a piece of junk!  Buy quality not a Polaroid.  LCD TV  Went black after only two years, just long enough to last out the warranty.  Thought I was getting a good buy, but it was just smoke and mirrors.  If Polaroid cared about quality there would be a recall and my flat screen would be fixed.  What a waste of time, money, and now forever in a landfill!!!!!!!

Had our Polaroid 32" flatscreen with built in DVD for about one year and so far; has been working great as our bedroom set.  We picked it since is was simple and offered a no clutter solution on the corner desk.  We don't use the DVD very often, but after playing perhaps its 14th or so disk... mechanism jammed!

One good part of the TV's design is you remove one screw and the DVD mechanism slides out via a 5" bay (similar to a PC) from the TV itself.  Somebody was thinking!

If your DVD is jamming, or loading motor runs constantly, our problem was a torsion spring had reversed its range...

The Polaroid 32" Flat Screen TV is a slimline TV which takes up very little space.  When I set it on my television stand, I feared it would be easily knocked over by my three young children.  I chose not to attach it to anything.  I have had this television for over a year, and it has never fallen over and doesn't move from its spot.   The sound quality is amazing for the smaller size of this flat panel.  It can be heard easily at even lower sound levels.

Hookups in the rear are well labeled and colored so that any need to hook up a DVD/VCR, stereo, etc. would be fairly easy for even the...

I work at a resort on the Oregon Coast, we have 105 of these (they are in half our rooms) the other 100 rooms have Phillips tv's. Out of the 105 Polaroid tv's I bet we have replaced 25 of them in just over 1 year, in the same time we have not replaced even one Phillips. There seems to be an issue with the ATSC/NTSC tuner. It seems that if you were to have this tv set up with a cable or sat box using composite/component or HDMI cables you would probably not have as many problems, but if you plan to use the integrated tuner (connected straight to the cable outlet or an antenna) beware. I do have... review »

This is the first LCD HDTV that we have purchased but comparing it to my inlaws 50 in  Samsung that was far more expensive, our tv is much better. The pictures are sharp and clear. The sound is unbelieveable and we are not using a home theater system and there is absolutely no reason to. I could not be more pleased than we are with this purchase and we would have paid much more money for this tv but got it for a steal at $798 at Walmart and the 2 year service plan was only $58.88 another absolutely fabulous deal.We LOVE our new TV

We purchased this TV from Walmart in Nov of 07, am very glad we bought the extended warranty, $59 well worth it.  Put in a DVD on Christmas eve, ate the DVD.  HD is great, sound works fine.  Waiting for the shipping box to show up to send to the service center, I really hope I do not get some of the bad expeiences others have, will post when I get it back.

Very easy to set up and a very NIce picture. The directions were good. We were able to hook up everything to it. the stereo and the dvd player. and the new sound system. Very cool We are very very happy with our very first flat screen LCD tv. Picture is very crisp. The tv itself is very lightweight I am impressed with the quality of the picture.

I feel that you are getting what you pay for with this t.v.. I think the picture is excellent and all of the extras that come with it are worth the price. I would only caution to beware of the built in dvd player its a great convenience until it all of a sudden just quits working.

We had this tv for 13 months and it quit working.  It will cost $725.00 to have it fixed.  Me and my family will not buy anything that Polaroid has anything to do with.
