Pledge Fabric Sweeper for Pet Hair Review Summary

Pledge Fabric Sweeper for Pet Hair is "a nice alternative to a lint roller." This inventive product from Pledge "sweeps up fur and takes care of my couch nubbies." Some pets even like to have the fabric sweeper rubbed directly on them. It picks up the pet hair after just "a few swipes back and forth." With a price of $5.99, the directions advise to throw it out and buy a new one, but reviewers find they can empty it and reuse it instead. Everyone is finding multiple uses for the Pledge Fabric Sweeper, including mink blankets, tapestries, and wall hangings. Compare this fabric sweeper to the reviews for the 3M Lint Roller.

We have two cats and therefore have cat hair everywhere. We picked up a Pledge Fabric Sweeper to see if it could beat back some of the cat hair and it works like a charm. However, it has a near-fatal flaw for which there is a slightly awkward work-around. We paid around $5 with a coupon.

As the owner of dogs...I am constantly using a lint roller and/or a vacuum to pick up after my pets.  We constantly have hair on the furniture, carpets, inside our cars, etc.  I saw these Pledge fabric sweepers at the store and decided to buy a package (2 come in a package) for $8 (on sale).  I thought...

Being a Bzz Agent I get to try out some fun stuff.  I signed up for the Pledge Fabric Sweeper. It picks up fur with just a few sweeps.

I let the girls (my medium fur cats) shed on their cat condo until the sweeper arrived. This sweeper really picked up the fur quick and easy. Scrappy (older cat) even loved to have it rubbed on her back.

Not only did it pick up the fur easy with a few swipes back and forth, but when I tried it on my "newish" couch I found it even took care of the nubbies that were starting to show up and it looks like new again (yippy).

It sells for around $5.99 and they say...

At last!  Pledge Fabric Sweeper for Pet Hair has arrived in my local Walgreen's.  For anyone with three shedding animals, the advance ads and coupons (which I lost while waiting) raised tremendous anticipation.

So did dmlichnerowicz's review in which she countered S. C. Johnson & Son, Inc.'s  "... throw the sweeper away when... full" directions of  with her own instructions on how to take the dual rollers out, clean them, then replace them for another go-round.

S. C. Johnson & Son has gone very public with its GREEN-ness, an impressive use of solar, for example, reducing Johnson's energy...

WONDERFUL!!! What can I say about the Pledge Fabric Sweeper for Pet Hair?! It works great! I bought one today and tried it out on my microsuede couch set. It was very easy to use and worked like a charm! I have two cats and, believe me, there's hair EVERYWHERE. This little jewel picked up all the hair quickly, and easily. It was very simple to use, light weight, and efficient. I like the clear plastic window so you can actually see all the pet hair that was hidden on you fabrics. The only down side is the Fabric Sweeper for Pet Hair is not re-useable. Once its filled up, you're suppose to trash... read full review »

I recently tried out the Pledge Fabric Sweeper through bzzagent. Bottom line: it works fairly well but not as good as the old fashioned vacuum. You use short strokes and brush the sweeper over the hairy fabric. It then collects the fur inside the sweeper, and when it's full you throw it away. It costs $4.99 and there are coupons out there right now. The package says it's the equivilant to 145 lint roller sheets. It is nice not to have to deal w/ peeling the roller sheets off--and they get filled up so quickly. On really hairy areas, though, it did leave a little fur behind.

I have two large dogs, both with lots of fur that are currently shedding.  I have a mink blanket on my bed that my dog loves to sleep on.  I have tapestries on my living room wall that are hiding nail holes (LOL).  The other dog is my son's assistance dog and she lays on the sofa since his wheelchair is normally beside it during the day.  I have a wall hanging from Mexico that is by the front door.
Now combine all of these things with dog fur and outside as well as inside dust and you have a hard to clean mess normally.  The mink blanket cannot be thrown in a normal washer because it is too...

the only reason i bought this for the first time was because i had a coupon for a free one.  i mean, really, how ground-breaking could it be?

i have to admit, i was thoroughly impressed.  i ran it across the cushion of the "cat's chair" and it picked everything up with minimal effort.  the fur, the dander, the bits of everything that cats seem to leave in their favorite resting place was gone.  and the fur was pretty thick as i tend to just ignore that chair.  and after the first intense cleaning, i would just swipe it over the surface a few times for easy maintenance.  so much easier than...

picking up after pets, busy Mom, loving this product, trying to make life easier

As a busy mom with two great dogs and one large cat, I am always on the hunt for pet hair removal products that really work. I was recently introduced to a new product by Pledge, called the Pledge Fabric Sweeper for Pet Hair. This is a handheld pet hair removal product that does not require batteries or electricity. The best news?  IT WORKS!  The better news?  IT'S CHEAP!

Here's how it works:

Simply move the Pledge Fabric Sweeper for Pet Hair back in forth in a side to side motion, and watch as the two rollers underneath grab, lift, and trap pet hair inside.  That's all there is to it! ...

Having tried tape rollers, vacuuming with a hand vac and upright vac, and picking cat hair off my black chairs by hand, all to no avail, a friend who has 5 indoor pets recommended this product.  I am amazed at how well the Pledge Fabric Sweeper for Pet Hair works.  It's idiot-proof to use...just sweep from side to side.  If it doesn't pick up every stray hair, changing the direction you sweep gets the last few.  While it is supposedly a disposable tool, the rollers on the underside can be gently popped off, the hair removed, and reused.  If you choose not to reuse the product, it's still...

I received the Pledge Fabric Sweeper for Pet Hair as a sample from Bzz.

I was a bit sceptacle at first.  The unit has two loop fabric rollers that are about 7" long.    The rollers are attached to a clear plastic dome.    You operate the unit by sweepting it from side to side in short strokes.     One roller picks up hair and lint then when you reverse the motion, the second roller clears off the first roller and deposits the waste into the clear dome.

The Pet hair Sweeper worked well on some of my furniture, but did not work on furniture that was covered with lopped...

Seriously, why did it take the world so long to get this genius little tool? Works fabulous, no sticky residue like you get from the lint rollers. Two little secrets you are gonna love:

1. You can use this on your CLOTHES!

2. When it fills up, you can reach between the two grey rollers and pull out the hairball. I have 2 in the house, and have used one for over 6 months now (emptied 4 times!)

I have 3 dogs, so these is god hair everywhere, but ESPECIALLY in my clothes! I was smart, bought a couch that does not really attract hair all that badly. but my clothes! We had those little sticky...

I saw all the commercials for the Pledge Fabric Sweeper and was amazed about what it could do and I could not wait to try it out myself. When I finally got my hands on this I was completely disappointed. I have a dog that sheds like crazy and of course loves to hangout on the furniture, which means that there is dog hair everywhere. So I first tested the fabric sweeper on my couch. I noticed that a few pieces of hair were swept up with the sweeper but nothing of significance. So I went over the couch again and got the same results. I am not sure if it is because of the type of hair my dog... read full review »

I found the Pledge Fabric Sweeper for Pet Hair to be a nice alternative to the lint roller and other pet hair removers out on the market. I found a pack of three of these at my local wharehouse store (Costco) for just under ten dollars. We have two pets in our household who shed like crazy and I can never seem to get ahead of the pet hair no matter how much I clean. And the hand vac I use in between vacuuming never seems to get it all. Besides that I have tried everything from rolls and rolls of duct tape, to the famous lint rollers with the expensive refills to  the special sponges and even the...

Upon checking out the Pledge Fabric Sweeper for Pet Hair at the WalMart Supercenter,  I have come to the conclusion that this product has possibilities for me. Having 5 Jack Russell Terriers who do live inside with us, pet hair is a big problem. I cover furniture with sheets or old bedspreads, washing bi-weekly, if not more and vaccum not sweep. If one of the girls goes to town or if everyone has to go to the Vet, my mini-van becomes the "Hairy Van". We use sticky rollers on our clothes so we are presentable.

The Pledge Fabric Sweeper for Pet Hair seems to be a great lightweight,  easy to...
