Pledge Fabric Sweeper for Pet Hair —

Having tried tape rollers, vacuuming with a hand vac and upright vac, and picking cat hair off my black chairs by hand, all to no avail, a friend who has 5 indoor pets recommended this product.  I am amazed at how well the Pledge Fabric Sweeper for Pet Hair works.  It's idiot-proof to use...just sweep from side to side.  If it doesn't pick up every stray hair, changing the direction you sweep gets the last few.  While it is supposedly a disposable tool, the rollers on the underside can be gently popped off, the hair removed, and reused.  If you choose not to reuse the product, it's still a great buy at under $6.  With only one pet, we should get at least 3 months' use before we have to empty the container.  I no longer want to throw out my dark furniture or shave my cat just to deal with the hair!

Addendum July 21, 2009:  I finally filled my Fabric Sweeper up!  I gently pulled one end of one of the rollers off, scooped out the cat hair, and easily popped the roller back in.  I should be able to get several years out of this "disposable" product now!  A little less plastic in a landfill and a little more money in my wallet...Yay!!!

OK, I have now emptied my Pledge Fabric Sweeper a total of three times, and I think I am finally going to have to buy a new one. The velcro-like rollers are getting too clogged with hair. Four re-uses is not bad at all for a disposable product!!! I figure it only ran me around 1.25 for each fill-up.

We found ours at Kroger. I saw the sign for them at Walmart but they were sold out when we went. They are definitely worth hunting down!

Hi! I'm glad you're keeping your black furniture (how daring to have black furniture AND pets!) These sweepers are hard to find though I've got my coupon in my hand. One gal found hers at KMart. Have you any other suggestions?
