Disappointed in these bottles

When our 3rd baby came along and we decided to bottle feed her from the newborn age, we thought we'd just get some more of these bottles and be happy.
Boy were we wrong!!
Because we were using these all the time (as opposed to just every once in a while with our older 2 children), we started to notice some problems!
The biggest problem was in the way the nipples are made.
They have a "y" shaped cut instead of a hole. Well, the problem with this is that we would buy a brand new package of nipples and within a few days, the y shaped hole would have cracks in it, causing the hole to grow larger. This was definitely a problem with a newborn!
We tried everything. We bought brand new nipples, we hand washed, then we tried the dishwasher, we tried different stage nipples. Nothing kept this from happening! Finally, after we had bought 3 or 4 new packages of nipples, we gave up and switched to another brand.
We were very disappointed because we had wasted money buying new bottles and new nipples, only to have them not work well at all. We actually contacted the company about it, but never heard back from them.
We gave up on Playtex altogether!
