Playtex Original Nurser baby bottle Review Summary

Playtex Original Nursers are baby bottles that have been used for generations. With the easy to use drop-in liners parents refer to Playtex baby bottles as convenient, since “they don't require regular sterilization.” These liners also make it easy to remove air from the bottle keeping it out of baby’s tummy. Viewpoints parents also state that the Naturalatch system of the Playtex bottles makes them “so much closer to the mother’s breast” which “dispenses to match your infant’s natural sucking reflex.” The drawbacks of Playtex bottles include a difficult to remove cap, occasional leaks and the expense of purchasing liners. Despite these minor issues, parents rate the Playtex Original Nurser as the best baby bottle for ease of use, cleaning and natural design.

Bring me a Ba-ba! — When I was no longer able to nurse my daughter, I was faced with finding a bottle she'd actually want to use. I was concerned that there weren't enough "natural feeling" options on the market. After several trips to local stores I tracked down the Playtex Original Nurser. My daughter had colic, as well as GERD (a reflux disorder causing overproduction of stomach acid).and this Playtex bottle was my final hope. My daughter had refused every bottle to this point, and it seemed as though she hated this one too. But after trying this… read full review »

Playtex Original Nurser was my first experience with a baby bottle. Even before I had children of my own, I can remember using Playtex Nursers with my nieces and nephews. The main reason this product was so good then and now should be obvious: The convenience. With a product like this, you don't have to scrub and sterilize the bottles like in the past. The reason is because the liners are disposable. The actual bottle is nothing more than a plastic sleeve to hold the liner in place. The liquid never touches the bottle. It only touches the inside of the liner and the nipple. The liners are… read full review »

i love these bottles. I was using the dr.browns bottles and still my son spit up a lot. I got one of the playtex drop ins bottles as a sample in the mail and i started using it and my son hasn't been spitting up at all. Im hooked on them and defenitly would recommend them i thought they would be hard to use because of the liners and everything but they are very easy to use. — — —… read full review »

We are trying to introduce bottle feeding to our baby and I tried Gerber NUK and evenflo. They both are fine but it used to take 20 to 30 min for my baby to drink 3 oz of milk. At the same time we got this platex sample through mail and she loved it and drank the milk very fast. Its less messy on the go and no need to worry about cleaning and storing. — I might consider this for outdoors. —… read full review »

I had a bunch of different bottles from my baby shower.  My baby ended up having colic, and i tried different formulas and different bottles, but i NEVER saw a difference until trying the playtex original nurser baby bottle!  I SWEAR to you, this was the only bottle that ever helped his stomach aches and colic!  I am in love with this bottle and it is so easy to clean (basically because you dont have to clean inside the bottle lol).  You may look at the price of the bottle and think, well....., but i  guarantee you it is WELL worth the money, and so are the playtex… read full review »

The bottle works! When I had my first child, I already knew I wanted to breastfeed, and although I had gotten about two-billion bottles from other people (and one of them looked pretty expensive!) What I really wanted was something simple.  After I had my son, I tried the other bottles and he didn't mind too much, (of course he loved breastfeeding more, but whipping my boob out at the checkout line of the grocery store just wasn't my thing...) but anyway when I tried the Playtex bottle, he loved it and I liked it too because it was shaped more like a breast than the other… read full review »

The Playtex Nurser is the best bottles I've came across. I didn't have 7,000 bottles cluttering up my cabinets, just 12. The interchangeable liners are so nice. You can take one bottle with you and a couple bags and your set. I breastfed all 3 of my children. I'd pump and store in a quart size plastic juice container, and when it was time to go out for the evening with my husband, made life much easier. Never had to worry about if there was enough for the baby while I was out or anything. Having parents who are older they loved not having to deal with normal baby bottles. Just dispose of the… read full review »

I love playtex bottles. I used them with my first born when it was too difficult for me to nurse her. She took to the bottles with ease and easily went from there bottles to playtex and gerbers cups by six months with no problems at all. With the second child I breastfeed, but there are times that my husband, daughter or parents want that bond so they feed her as well. She refused so many bottles, before I went to old faithful, I was trying to use the bottles I recieved from my baby showerds since no one brought the playtex off my registry. Anyways she refused the bottle for a little… read full review »

I am a mother of six kids. I love these bottles. The nipple is shaped so much closer to the mothers for moms who breastfed that is a big thing. Plus it makes it a lot easier to clean. If you are a mother on the go trying to sterilize a bottle in a restaurant is not easy just through the bag away and clean the nipple put in new bag and away you go. Or if you lose a bottle in the car (which I know lots of working moms who have) the build up is enough to gag anyone. Or just a bottle over night the build up is very hard to get out. The bags make every thing a lot… read full review »

I pump and only use seal and go bags.  This bottle is the ONLY one my daughter will use when not given the option to nurse.  What I love about this is that it is so easy to clean.  Even if it gets dirty, it's wide enough for you to stick yout entire hand in.  But the milk never touches the bottle, so you don't really have to worry about it unless you want to, actually.  Most of the time the plastic from the liner covers half of the bottle anyway!  I've never had it leak, the baby can't squeeze the bag, the air doesn't get in the milk (or the baby) and they are… read full review »

With my first child, I used traditional straight bottles and the ventaire bottles. Though they both worked fine, washing and sterilizing the bottles took up way too much time...and you're already busy with a newborn! When I was pregnant with my second child, a friend recommended the playtex bottles with liners. I was reluctant to try them out (they sure looked odd to me), but WOW I was very impressed with how easy they are to use. They save so much time and energy with cleaning and sterilizing bottles, I would recommended them to ANYONE! The playtex brand liners can be very expensive,… read full review »

The Playtex Nurser with drop ins is the BEST. I have problems with my blood pressure so I didn't want to chance breast feeding after I couldn't control it anymore and started taking different meds. — My lil peanut had no problem adjusting. I wanted to spend as much time as possible with her and since I don't have to worry about constantly washing and sterilizing bottles we have so much time together. As a single mom of 3 I only have so much time for housework and my girls. — Remember not to try to warm them in the microwave and you will have no problems.… read full review »
