The Playtex embrace double breast pump is comfortable and easy to use.  I purchased this pump before the birth of my 1st baby.  I am now using it for baby #3.  It was cheaper than the Medela pump and it has been extremely reliable.  I have used this pump several times a day for several months with each baby.  It is now 4 years old and it hasn't failed me yet.  I have heard of the Medela pumps breaking with very limited use and the cheaper playtex pump is still going strong after 4 years.  It is also easier to clean as the milk never comes into contact with the tubing.  The only downside is that it is pretty loud.  But, other than that this is a great pump.

Now that I'm breastfeeding my second child in five years I have to admit I would never have gotten through it without my Playtex Embrace Pumps. I am a full-time working mom, so it was a must have purchase before my first child was born and I dragged it back and forth to work every day for a year with her, now I am doing the same for my four month old. To give a new mom looking for a pump the best advice I will tell you I use it three times a day and with my first child this system held up wonderfully for almost a full year. The motor eventually started to die out right around a year, and still managed to get the job done but not as efficiently as it started. But don't let this worry you--for the amount of use I was putting it through from all other indicators this was the expected life span for this kind of pump. I bought another one for my current baby and am just as pleased. The bag is very discreet but my only complaint is that I wish they would have made it larger, because many times after filling bottles and and putting in icepacks, it's bulging at the sides.

I have been exclusively pumping and I have been using the playtex petite double electric breast pump.  It has not been strong enough to use it as a double pump, so I have been using it as a single pump.  I recently got the Playtex Embrace Double Electric pump.  I used it for the first time today, so I am not sure of its long term use.  But today it worked great.  I got 4 oz. out of each breast in 10 minutes.  I was able to double pump.  It felt like it could be stronger, but It got the job done.  I just expected it to hurt I guess and feel very strong, but it was comfortable but it instantly got milk out.  It comes in a very nice package.  It is in a travel case, and has many small cases inside and is nicely organized.  It has bottles in a cooler with an ice pack, and a separate bag for the pumping cups.  It also has a car charger which I am excited to use.  It is hard to get them on at first because the suction isnt that strong, but once you get them on there, they work like a charm.

I looked around for a breast pump. Read reviews. Heard all about hospital grade pumps, medela, etc. And I saw the Playtex Embrace. I thought I appreciated Playtex before i had a baby but seeing this pump lets me know that pumping doesn't have to involve hard plastic!! These breast shields are so comfy, soft and mimic a baby. It has speed and strength settings. It also came with a very cute bag! I use it every day to hold things for baby and I while pumping. I am also able to pumpe with one or both breasts, which is so efficient. For the first few months of my babys life, I would pump and breastfeed at the same time. And if we left home for a long period and my baby was sleeping when i got home and I was engorged, I could pump both breasts. It is so awesome. Plus i can use wide or narrow bottles with it. Playtex makes awesome wide necked bottles that encourage breastfeeding even more. The nipples are shaped more like my breast. I am just in awe of Playtex and this double electric pump. The price and efficiency are perfect for our lifestyle and I think any breastfeeding families.

When I was pregnant with my second son I knew I was definitely planning on breastfeeding since I had with my first for 7 months & if it wasn't for me breastfeeding he probably wouldn't have pulled through the horrible R.S.V. he had when he was born according to all the doctors who urged me to keep on even though he was so sick & not wanting to nurse.I wished then I had found such a wonderful breastpump as I had later discovered with my second son! I had previously used a hospital rented medula double elctric which was like putting an old electrolux vaccuum to your chest,LOL I have never been more sore trying to get milk out than ever so I looked high & low for a good pump that made just a little bit more of an adjustable suction strength & more comfortable shield/cup for my poor battered boobies,LOL I was pleasantly suprised when I got this Platex Embrace one home & seen how cut & stlish & sleek it was right of the bat.Apon trying it I was actually disapointed at first because the suction was so soft but then hey,I discovered it had a "volume" like setting to the strength & the speed both! YAY! I turned them both up & COMFORTABLY within 5 minutes while chatting on the phone (& no they didn't hear nothing!) had to stop it because I was about to overflow the bottles! This thing rocks!!! Its sooo comfortable & nice looking & with all the settings you can't go wrong!

When I was pregnant in 2008, I sought out resources for all aspects of childbirth, child rearing and breastfeeding. My family has had "bottle babies" for generations and so my mom and grandmother were unfamiliar with things that I would need to breastfeed. I was a pioneer of sorts! After reading several breastfeeding books, I knew that I would need a breast pump even though I had decided to stay home with our daughter. I read several online reviews and chose the Playtex Double Embrace breast pump. My mom purchased the pump as a gift to me and it certainly has gotten a lot of use! I pumped every night after my daughter went to bed and sometimes during the day as well in order to have bottles for those times when she was staying with family members or we had company over so I could share the feeding duties. I also froze milk and was able to use it at a later time. As she began to wean, I even donated over 100 oz. of milk to a human milk bank to use for premature babies. Shortly after my mom bought the pump, a belt gave out. I was all upset, but called customer support and they asked me for a serial number and promptly sent out a new pump to me free of charge and sent a postage paid box to return the faulty pump.

Well. I breast feed exclusively for my babys 11 months and had to mix in 1 months worth of formula for his first year. I had a playtex breast pump and wished it could be quiter. I could not be on the phone without the other person on line knowing I was pumping. I was once refered to as darth vader.. Not cool. The cups were great for my larger breast size without any discomfort. The pump was on the slower side compared to my friends medula pump. Hers was also way more expensive. I was only planning on having one baby and she was going for her investment because she would have atleast five. I did like the fact that i could take it and pump in the car. We had a road trip to mexico. 16 hours in a car. I would pump into the premade bottle and feed it to my baby right then and there. very reliable that way. The noise at night was very annoying because if baby wasnt hungry i would still pump and i nknow i kept hubby up at night!!

The Playtex Embrace is a dual breast pump.  It is pretty comfortable to use and has 5 different speed and suction settings.  All of the parts that come in contact with the breast milk are dishwasher safe and easy to clean.  The bottles that fit on the pump can go directly into the freezer and also have bottle nipples that fit them, so you can freeze the milk in the same bottle that it is pumped into, then thaw it and feed from that bottle as well.  It has a car adapter and does work in the car, although I found that it seemed to malfunction if I used it in the car much.  It has a nice and discreet bag to hold all of the parts and is small and easily portable.  One disadvantage is that it has to be plugged into the wall - I often had to use an extension cord.  I liked that I could read while pumping, but in the end, I found that it was just not very efficient for me.  I also have a hand pump and was able to pump the same amount much faster using that.  For certain situations, the Embrace pump might be better, but I think for me the hand pump is the way to go.

I specifically did not like this breast pump. It was too much work for nothing, it has too many parts, for one. Cleaning the tubes and cups were a hassle for me, also the 3 speed suction was either too hard or not suffiecient enough to pump milk I don't recommend this product

We bought the Playtex breast pump after our son was born. We couldn't afford a Medella or a Lansinoh so I did extensive research on the mid-priced pumps. After reading many reviews and comparing features, the Playtex was the one I chose. Some of the features I like are the silicone breast cups, the variable suction and being able to use the same bottles and liners for pumping and feeding. One of the things I don't like about the pump is that the connectors that attach the air hose to the pump are easily broken. You can attach the hose directly to the pump but then you have to set it up on something so the hose doesn't kink. The pump is less efficient when you try to pump both breasts at once. It takes about the same amount of time to pump one and then the other as to pump both at once. All things considered, I am pleased with the pump and would buy it again if something happened to the one I have now.
