Playtex Drop-Ins Premium Nurser Baby Bottle Review Summary

A premium upgrade to an old favorite ushers in the Playtex Premium Nurser Baby Bottles. With a nipple “shaped to be more like the breast,” pro-breastfeeding moms highly recommend the Playtex Premium Nurser since the nipple is more "natural". Using bag-like liners, parents love they can squeeze out any excess air, making the Playtex Premium Nursers “better at preventing gas than traditional bottles.“ In addition, this nurser bottle is considered “convenient” to use since you can just drop-in the liner and go. Panda'smommy says, "hey are sterile each use and of course, there's no bottle cleaning to worry about." Are there downsides to the Playtex Premium Nurser Baby Bottles? The biggest complaint most reviewers have is the cost of the liners. The design of the liners also make it difficult to tell how much baby has eaten. Even with these issues, the vast majority of reviewers would not trade their Playtex Drop Ins Premium Nurser for any other baby bottle. Compare the Playtex Premium Nurser with other baby bottles from the many Viewpoint's baby bottle reviews.

The Playtex Drop-Ins Premium Baby Bottles have become our baby bottle of choice in feeding our baby.  We have used this particular Playtex Drop-In during the first three months that she has been with us, and it has quickly become the "go-to" baby bottle for me to assist with feeding time.  The...

I like the bottles I think I think the nipples are not made as strong as they use to be and if you have a baby with suck power the nipples deform you have to take them out of the babies muth for air to bring them back to their normal shape. The bottles are great with convient liners they are expensive.... review »

I LOVE these bottles!  When I was pregnant, I registered for Dr. Brown's but was hardcore pro-breastfeeding.  I only had a couple 8oz Dr. Brown's bottles when my daughter was born but I was sure I wouldn't need bottles for at least a couple months as I planned on breastfeeding exclusively.  Needless to say, I was in a pinch when my daughter's heart defect threw me a curve & we were unable to breastfeed.  The hospital sent us home with bottles of formula & the nipples that attached to them.  My grandmother decided to run out for us & grab some bottle-feeding supplies.  I had asked her to get... review »

I used only these the whole time my son used bottles and I really liked them. My son was formula fed so he used them alot. They are easier to clean then regular bottles and more sanitary I think. These bottles are durable. The liners are an extra cost but if you don't get the pre-formed ones and buy a store brand they are really cheap. They get less air than a regular bottle and need burped less because of it.

I love these bottles!  We were using the soothies at first then I got a sample of the playtex nurser so I thought I would try it.  My son fell in love with it.  I nursed and had to supplement and this bottle was more natural then a lot of bottles.

It was also nice to be using these bottles during the BPA scare, I didn't have to be so nervous about the long term affects of the bottle I used.

The bottle is easy to clean and store.  I went back and forth between the pre-formed bags to the bags you had to squeeze onto the bottle depending on how many onces I was making.  Both were easy to use. ...

Many of my friends, who are expereinced mothers, use this bottle system. I decided to give it a try and wow! was I impressed! At first Ithought the "drop in" aspect of these bottles would be so annoying, but once you get used to them, they're great! They are sterile each use and of course, there's no bottle cleaning to worry about. When i used these I just rinsed the nipple and ring in the hottest water I could stand. My baby was never ill. These can also be filled one-handed, which is fabulous! The nipples have no problems with collapsing while the baby is sucking and there's much less air for...

I started out using Avent and Playtex Ventaire when I was supplementing my baby with formula. When I switched to only bottle feeding her, I quicky discovered how often the Avent ones really leaked. Who wants to spend $30 on a can of formula and end up wearing 1/3 of it when you make the bottle? I liked (and still occasionally use) my vent aire, but they have too many pieces to wash. A friend gave me her used Drop In bottles and I love them! All I have to wash is the nipple. I have never had one of these bottles leak either and my baby likes them too. I also like how the liners are sterile.

This was an awesome product to add to the baby bottle department. Playtex drop ins were new and different. I was a little hesitant to buy them at first, but as soon as I used them for the first time, I knew I couldnt get enough. When my mom first used them, she couldnt figure out why they didnt invent these years ago.

I started using the Drop-ins on recommendation from my friend. I purchased the Premium Nurser set from Target which included both 4oz bottles and 8oz bottles, various nipples for different flow speeds, small package of liners and a breast pump adapter ring for pumping directly into the liner.

My son was mostly breastfed, but took these bottles while I was working part-time. The nipples at "NatraLatch" style, and caused no nipple confusion whatsoever, and I recommend them to breastfeeding mothers. He was very gassy and colicky, so I had piece of mind knowing the air could be squeezed out prior...

I am a very busy mom of two young boys. My oldest is now 2 and my youngest is three months old. I started using the playtex drop ins system with my first child and loved it so much that i didnt have to change or experiment with other bottles. I was referred to use this product by a friend who also loved the playtex drop ins bottles. The bottle comes with presterilized liners, so the formula never touches the  bottle, and make sfor easy clean up. You dont have to worry about sterilizing and boiling your bottles after every use. The drop ins are not expensive, and a lot come in the box when you...

I would have to rate this item as poor, the bottles are exspensive and so are the liners, you spend more on liners than u would on a months worth of formula, and the nipples leak terribly, all over the Baby's clothes and anywhere else when not in the upright position, and we moms know that Thats near impossible! The nipples are the main problem for leakage, i have no idea why they just leak everywhere! The liners cost about 6.00 for a pack of 50, and for a baby around 3-4 months old, they are all gone in about 4-5 days, and the bottles are about 5.00 a piece too, so this is about what you would...

Playtex makes several different types of nipples for this system (regular and orthodontic in both latex and silicone) which makes it possible to find a nipple that your baby prefers without having to buy a ton of different bottles. The shell of the bottle never comes into contact with food so it doesn't need to be sterilized and the liner bags are BPA free.

The main selling feature is the fact that the bottom of the shell is open which allows you to squeeze the excess air out of the bottle before giving it to the baby. The liner collapses as the bottle empties which further reduces the amount of...

Playtex Drop-Ins Premium Nurser Baby Bottles are great baby bottles. They are soooo easy to clean. You just drop the bottle liner in. You only have to clean the nipples and the rings, which is a piece of cake. I only clean the actual bottle part about twice per week (we have enough bottles to last a day and a half). I like to sterilize the nipples, even though my son is over 6 months and it isn't neccessary any more. It is easy to push the air out, which helps to prevent gas (which is a must-have for a colicky baby). And, the air does not go back in as the baby is sucking. I like that there... review »

When my first grandchild was born I noticed that my daughter had purchased Avent bottles. My daughter said that they were supposed to reduce colic and excess gas in babies. When my granddaughter was two weeks old, she was always gassy and spitting up.

I had used Playtex nursers when my children were babies and I remembered how the liners collapsed as the baby drank because there was no air. I went out and bought an 8 ounce Playtex Nurser in a single container to try with her. The bottle came with a nipple, a cap, as well as some liners so I did not have to purchase anything separately just...

We didn't start using Playtex Dropins until our son was about 5 months old, but with baby #2 we will definitely use them from the start. There are three pieces - that's it! It doesn't sound like a big deal, but when you are sterilizing bottles and preparing bottles on minimal sleep, less is definitely more.

We take frequent day trips, and were delighted to find how nicely the Playtex Dropins pack. It is so easy, and much faster to warm the Dropins in hot water than conventional bottles because the water is against the liner, not thicker plastic or glass.

Buying the liners can seem like a waste,...
