Playtex Diaper Genie Pail Review

I recieved the diaper genie at our baby shower.  I did find it easy to place bags into the genie, although once I started to use it, I found it to be very difficult and I ended up just using a grocery store bag hanging on the door.

I read the directions for the genie and it was still difficult to use.  I would put a dirty diaper into the genie, close the top and turn the handle to twist the diaper down into the genie, I then would push the button down for the cutter to work and "bag" the diaper.  The cutter would only cut about an inch of the bag and the rest of the bag just got caught up in the cutter. 

The diaper genie was not easy to open either, I had to use both hands which is not practical when you are changing a diaper.  When i did open the genie, there was a horrible smell due to the cutter not working properly and when it was time to empty the genie, I had a difficult time with that as well and the genie did not hold many diapers.

Overall, I hated this product and think it is a waste of money.  Itried to take it to a resale shop and even they were not accepting that product.
