Guitar Hero 2 for the PLAYSTATION 2 is one of the best all around games I've ever  played. It is an out of the box fun experience for the whole family. You can play alone, or head to head with a friend. Each player can select a different difficulty. You get new guitars and other gear as you play and...

Guitar Hero II is clear an extremely popular video game and loved by kids of all ages. It has some great rock music titles (many of which parents will quickly recognize), lots of “eye candy” to stimulate the mind, fast movement and best of all an accessory – in this case a guitar – that the...

I got this for my teenage son this X-Mas. Soon my daughter was fighting with him to get her turn. They played all day long on X-Mas day. 2 days later I broke down and went to Best Buy and purchased a second guitar(controler). Now they can play head to head. I have not yet given it a try, but plan to on my day off when Im home alone. It looks like a blast!

My younger sister first introduced me to Guitar Hero and I could not play it at all. But then my husband gave it a try and he liked it alot (and unlike me, he's not a big gamer) and so I decided to get it for him. Well, of course I ended up playing it as well, starting at easy and I got the hang of it rather quickly with a little practice. I am now getting 5 stars on a lot of medium songs and my husband has moved into hard, with some expert. We own Guitar Hero, Guitar Hero 2, and the 80's encore. There is a nice mix of songs, most of you will definitely know some well already, but even the...

This game will take your friendships to new heights and make everyone in nearby rooms run in to see what is playing..and get involved!  I have seen every leel of game player and every age group get into this game! At a family gathering it's something everyone can have a go on!

This game has great graphics and music to rock out to! It challengers your sense of timing and hand-eye co-ordination! It grabs you by the shirt lapels and gets your HEAD BANGING ~ your fingers positively TWITCH to grab and play the guitar from the fella who's playing ~ and TOE TAPPING to keep the beat as you push 1 or more...

My brother in law tried for months to get me and my husband to play this game, and I am not a big gamer, the only game I am really into is NFS. [ Need For Speed ] So, One day we we're over at his house and he was playing away, and I was watching him I decided to give it a crack. As soon as the notes came on the screen, I froze.  I had NO idea what to do, but after a few failed songs, I finally started to get the basics down and by then I was long gone. The game is amazing, the graphics are great and the fact that the songs aren't all made famous by but actually the original songs made this game... review »

How I avoided the Guitar Hero hype until this past January is beyond me.  I guess I was just good at ignoring the buzz.  Eventually, though, it caught up with me, I played one game, and I was hooked.  This, of course, led me using one of my Christmas gift cards on Guitar Hero II.

The basis of the game is simple.  A rock song plays.  On the screen there are five color coded sections.  The idea is to press the accompanying button on the neck of the guitar controller that comes with the game, while pressing up or down on the strum bar to actually "play" the notes.  How something so basic never...

I picked this out for my birthday after using a friend's and getting hooked on Sweet Child of Mine (I am a huge GNR fan).  Whenever I have friends over, we usually end up playing this game.  Once we had a group of 8 which was nice because it gave us time to work out the cramps and stresses in our hands while we waited for our next turn.  I think this game is just as fun to watch as it is to play and if you know someone who can complete a song on Expert mode it is probably more exciting than watching them play an actual guitar.  At first some of my friends were skeptical, but then I forced them... review »

What an addicting game.  Stayed up all night playing this ps2 game when we first got it.I loved Guitar Hero. I thought it was fantastic. Guitar Hero II is even better! Great songs, great gameplay, quite addictive. A must buy for all of us want to be rock stars.

The graphics are pretty good - but really, when your working the controller (looks similar to a guitar) you have a hard time watching to see what is on the screen.

Here are a few of the songs.  Cherry Pie, You really got me,  Them Bones, Can't you Hear me Knocking, Message in a Bottle, Girlfriend.

We had a party at the house and...

My sister and brother-in-law and actually everyone else had been trying to get my husband and myself to play this game since they had started coming out. Well, what happens? We receive the bundle in the mail for Christmas. I thought to myself what the hay. Well, um 2 weeks later I have beat the game on easy, medium and am half way through with hard. I love this game! Oh and did I mention this is part I and II? Even though some may get through the game quicker then others you will still want to go back and play the same song over and over again. It is just that much fun! This is a game for all ages!... review »

The Guitar Hero sequel is a very neat and fun game for all air guitarist around the globe. Even though it lacts in the grafics this product is very addictive to the young and the old!Same great game-play you remember, but with an added thirst of challenge! Has over 64 total songs, 40 licensed from major bands, but the song pick not that great! The only ones were Sweet Child O' Mine, Iron Man wait that was on the old one. See that's what I mean we were expect a great song pick like the old one but instead we got about 10 out of 64! For the money your spending you think you'ld get your money's worth,... review »

First, let me say that I am glad there is a second Guitar Hero Game.  I was very sick of playing the same songs over and over.  The new game is good, but the songs are not great.  I liked the songs on Guitar Hero 1 much better.  The co-op mode on Guitar Hero 2 is an improvement - it is not on Guitar Hero 1.  On Guitar Hero 2, players can play on different levels while playing together.  You can not on Guitar Hero 1.  It only comes with one guitar, so you may have to buy a second one.  After a year, my guitar died, and I had to buy another.  Guitar Hero 2 has a practice mode that is not... review »

What a game! This is my favorite out of all the guitar hero games. Nonetheless, I suggest you try them all. The differences are the song selections and the fact that in three, you have to do some new little twist on the game that I am not too fond of. This is the pure and simple game that kids and adults have fallen in love with. I do not know a single person that does not enjoy playing the game--even if they are not good at it. I highly recommend getting this game if you have an Xbox or a Playstation. If not, find a friend that has it! You will be in for hours of entertainment. Just beware that... review »

I love the guitar hero games. My 5 year old took no time in learning how to play. By the age of 4 he could get 90% on easy level. It is fairly easy to master the beginner and intermediate levels. I have gotten to the point where I can get 5 stars on every song in these two levels but I have not been able to get hard or expert. They are ridiculous quick but for the person who can do it, good job! It does become addicting very quick, especially while you are learning because you will always feel as though you could have done better and you will try again. They have a good selection of songs and its... review »

I've had Guitar Hero 2 for the SonyPlaystation 2 for a while now and I would have to say that if your looking for a game for the musically inclined or for those who are tone deaf then this game is the one for you.  Whether they be 6 or 60, Guitar Hero 2 has something for those who love music and want to be a rockstar.  The track selection helps introduce music that one may have not known of before and the crowd pleasing can't get any better when you wow the crowd with your score.  Take it from me, if a bunch of 20 somethings can make a whole night of this game then anyone can have a blast with... review »
