I was lucky enough to get this ball popper at a yard sale and it was, by far, one of the best yard sale purchases that I made. I was even luckier that it came with all the balls! — This is a great toy to introduce independent play.  My daughter was about 11 months when she started to use it and she STILL gets a kick out of it at 27 months. — I think the key when using this toy is to use it in an enclosed space like a pack and play, play yard, or something of the like.  If it's used just anywhere, the balls go flying.  This would be the only toy (besides books) we… read full review »

Playskool makes great toys, but for us, this was not one of them.  The fan is very noisy.  It is also a little too powerful.  The balls end up blowing way past the toy and scattering around the room instead of falling onto the ramp.  It is also very light weight, which could be a plus, but considering it is suggested for younger babies, our child just knocked it over a lot, spilling the balls all over, so someone usually had to keep a hand on it.  Since many balls didn't get down the ramp, our child never really noticed the nice see-through ramp that was built… read full review »

 The busy ball popper is great for going toddlers. Its fun and interacting. It kept my son on the go when he had it. It now keeps my 15mo. old nefew going. My son got a kick out of the popping ball machine. He loved watching the balls pop out of the machine Loved chasing the balls. Loved putting them back in. Loved the music. My daughter received this toy as a gift last Christmas, when she was just a couple months old. Obviously, the fun was lost on her until she could sit up and crawl on her own. She had fun watching mom put the balls in and chase them all over the house again. Now that she's walking, she has more fun putting the balls in the hole (along with everything else that will fit in there!) She likes to reach into the top and grab the stuff back out. The ballpopper is an excellent toy in terms of entertainment value for your toddlers, however there are two major flaws to the design. Firstly, the toy plays very loud music and sound effects that you cannot silence; there is an on and an off switch but no intermediate between the two. Second, your child will probably be curious and want to put things down the tube where the balls fall down. Small bits of crumpled paper, small toys, or balls that are not specifically designed for the toy will clog it up and make it unusable. My son received this toy for christmas, three years ago, and he still loves playing with it.  We have an older version, and my complaint with it is that he can easily take the top track off, making it easier to put cars and little people into the hole and get stuck.  We just bought the newer version for my niece, and they seem to have improved the top portion, making it more difficult to come off.  It plays cute music, though with the fan it is a loud toy, but so much fun.  When those balls shoot into the air, it still makes my son giggle.  When we have small friends… read full review »

When I first bought this toy my son was six months old.  He was petrified of the music and the blowers and the balls that did not bounce up and around the toy but flew out erratically all over the room.  I waited a few months but tried pushing the button every couple of weeks or so until he didn't cry about it anymore.  Now, at ten months, he thinks this toy is so much fun but I can't stand it!  I suppose it came with five balls but it is all I can do to find three of them.  They fly all over the house and the dog chases them so who knows if there are even five… read full review »

We have loved the Busy Ball Popper since we first saw the commercial on television. Our daughter received it for her first birthday, and it has been a hit with infants through great grandmothers! — — Playskool offers replacement balls, which aren't a bad idea, especially if you are giving this as a gift. Both my 2 and 4 year old loved this toy.  Once those balls started popping out and flying all over the place - they were hooked.  I didn't see them move like that since they played with their Elefun - which is also a great movement toy!  yes - the balls do go a little crazy - but if you put it in an area where you can fish them out easily - it's not a problem.  One of te things I liked most about this - is that when you are done, the balls all go right inside - so when you go to play next time - the balls are all right inside waiting.  This is such a great interactive… read full review »

I bought this about 3 years ago for my son when he was a baby. He is now 4 and his sister is 2 and there is another one on the way. Both my kids have loved this toy. It's a little noisy but not as bad as some other toys and I have lost one of the balls. But in 3 years only losing one I think is great :) It wasn't cheap when I bought it I think I paid almost $20 but as I said 3 years and still going can't beat that. i just bought this for my daughter who just turned 1. very easy to little kids to use. you could just see the amazement in her eyes. This toy is good for keeping the young ones occupied. The price is incredible seeing how most toys this day and age are so expensive and they don't even keep the kids entertained. —  the balls to have a tendency to go flying around the house. i have all hard wood flooring so once the balls get rolling, they dont stop. in a good way, it makes my toddler want to go after the balls and then bring them back to start all over again. —  two… read full review »

This was a gift for my son and we got it out for him around 11 months.  He had a blast watching the balls fly through the air.  He figured out how it operated in about 2 seconds but that made it more fun because he thought the more he pressed the button the faster the balls would fly.  He then had fun shoving other things into the popper, which was a good lesson in "square things not fitting into a round hole".  He would then use the balls for other games, etc.  We probably had the toy out for about 5 months and he got enjoyment out of it the entire time.… read full review »

This is a FUN toy.  It is a LOUD fun toy that doesn't quite live up to it's potential.  Make sure you use really good batteries, because it takes 4 D batteries and only lasts about a week on the inexpensive ones the way my kids played on it.  The balls are small, the fan is weak (you sometimes have to give the balls a nudge to help them on their way) and little hands fit down the tube very easily.  My 12 month old loves it though, so as long as you use it in moderation and under constant supervision, it's an okay toy. — … read full review »
