I have super curly hair and have tried a few flat irons and could never get my hair super straight. I am a hair dresser, so in my 30 years, I have had the experience of trying a lot of tools.I finally tried the FHI Platform Flat Iron,and It gets up to 450 degrees. It is also made of tourmaline and is also ceramic. Tourmaline is a mineral found in nature and it conditions the hair. The more you use the iron, the better shape your hair becomes. Besides straightening the hair, if you twirl the hair around the flat iron, you will also get curls that can last for a few days. This is the best flat iron I have ever used. I don't want to put down other irons, but I have used CHI and Jilbere, and Gold and Hot and this iron really surpasses all of them.
