Plantronics - Voyager 510 —

I searched and searched for a Bluetooth headset that had louder volume output. Bought into the hype of the Jawbone, but ditched it after a week. Tried a Motorola, no dice. Went through a Jabra in-ear and a different Plantronics model, and still could not adequately hear the caller on the other end.

As a daily commuter on the Bay Area freeways, I need to have a loud, reliable Bluetooth headset to make calls while in the car. I read reviews of the Plantronics Voyager 510 and was again skeptical of the claims that it was the loudest headset on the market, like all the others. I was able to get one on the cheap, so I figured I'd give one more headset a try.

WOW. For the first time ever, I do not need to crank the volume up to max on the headset! I can hear over the freeway noise. The mic filters out the noise as well, so the caller on the other end isn't bombarded by the freeway either.

The only downside is that the headset is big and ugly. It fully wraps around the ear, and it boasts a decent sized boom mic. As a hat and sunglass wearer, it does tend to get a little crowded on my ear, but it's a small price to pay for a Bluetooth headset that actually delivers!
