Do you know what happens if you over torque a lug nut? Well several things can happen first you can break the stud, or strip threads and worst yet warp or break the wheel! That can be hazardous to you and your passengers as well as the public should a wheel come flying off.

Pittsburgh Torque Limiting Extension set

This is a 10 pc set that goes from 65 foot pounds up to 150 foot pounds they are color and letter coded to help you pick the right one. All you need to do is look in your manual that comes with your vehicle under specifications to find the torque setting for your vehicle. Then just grab the right one and use it on your impact wrench when you remove and replace the wheels on your vehicle. These are 1/2" drive and are about 7 3/4" long which also helps get your hands and the impact wrench a bit further from the wheel and fender.

Bottom Line

These go great with their color coded Impact sockets that I previously reviewed. Pittsburgh makes quality products and has one to fit your needs. You can get these at Harbor Freight, not sure where a store is then go to their website and find the nearest store to you, you can also have items shipped to your local store at no charge! www.harborfreightusa.com

it sure does, makes the next time a nightmare or worse yet warps a wheel.

I hate it when my nuts get over-torqued.
