Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest Review Summary
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest has Viewpoints reviewers claiming this first sequel met their expectations, yet left them "begging for more!" They do caution that if you haven't seen the first in the series,
Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl, you should see that first, and not mess up the order. Johnny Depp stars again, as Dead Man's Chest picks up where the Black Pearl left off, and many reviewers feel is surpasses the original with "witty comedy and action that the whole family can enjoy." They caution that if you aren't playing close attention, you could miss a lot. A select few reviewers could only muster up the comment that
Dead Man's Chest is "slow-ho-ho and a bottle of dumb," not finding Depp very believable as a pirate and finding it to be a "shipwreck of a movie."

I love every POTC movie, but this one is the best of the 3! The plotline was a bit complicated and hard to follow. But hey, who cares...Johnny Depp was in the movie! If there was only one word to best say why I would see it again: JOHNNY! Now that I think of it thouhg the first one may have been a…

Slow-ho-ho and a bottle of dumb, — This film's so lame I put down my thumb; — As a pirate, Johnny Depp is quite a sight; — Too pretty to be a pirate — And in a sword fight. — — There ain't no plot; — There ain't no wenches; — There ain't no rum!…

There are no spoilers for this movie, but a few minor ones for the original! Ye be warned! — The Case — Like every other fan of the original Pirates, I couldn't wait to see Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest. I anticipated viewing a film that would instill as much delight as the first had. I not only left the theater disappointed, I left angry. — The Good — The continuation of the story was decent. The old characters started out in the logical places that we left them in, with Turner and Swann attending to wedding plans and…

WARNING: If you haven't seen the Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl, stop reading this review RIGHT NOW and go rent that first! — — The Plot... or at least how it begins! — So we all remember in the last movie that Will saved Jack from certain death... and Elizabeth proclaimed she loved him more than Norrington... all caught up yet? This movie starts as Elizabeth is preparing for her wedding only to find out that her fiance has been arrested and she is to be arrested as well! On what charge? They are both put under arrest and sentenced to death for helping…

Pirates of the Carribean: Dead Man's Chest picks up where The Curse of the Black Pearl left off and not only met the great plot it had, but has surpassed the original with constant witty comedy and action that the whole family can enjoy. The actors remain the same and their characters change as the plot thickens. Johnny Depth plays a superve role as Captain Jack Sparrow who is not quite all right in the head but has values and morals that leads him to do the right thing at the end. Will, another main character, remains true to his cause and proves his righteousness through trials that takes…

into action flicks, movie buff, DVD collector, into movies that tell a great story
Part 2 of this series is good. But as I mentioned, the original was better. In Dead Man's Chest, the dark atmosphere makes it hard to see some of the fantastic effects. The sound quality and character accents do the same thing to the audio for this film. If you aren't paying close attention to the picture and the sound, you miss alot. And while you are concentrating on figuring out what's in the picture and what a character just said, you miss the effect of the movie as a work. — — Still, this is a good movie that I enjoy more each time I see…

In my honest opinion of this movie i would have to say it was the most awesome movie i have seen in a while. I love the characters that are in this movie. It almost makes you want to become a pirate and take over the seas.. — Davy jones locker who would have thought.....that Johhny Depp would make such a great pirate.....he i believe in my eyes made the show. So many great twist and turns action filled never ending story line and wouldnt you know they kind of left it open so they could actually come out with something to add on to the plot thickens. I loved all these movies…

Amazing action at high seas. the ship stuck in no where was kind of wierd. Ties up many of the plot lines of the first two movies. The end twist where will ibecomes the captain of the ship and has to spend eternaty on it is kind of dissapointing as an ending.Jack, Will, and Elizabeth betraying each other is really old though. overal the action drowns out the plots faults to make this a very good…
