Piola - Arlington, VA Review

On my recent trip to Washington, DC, I stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott Arlington Rosslyn, which has a number restaurants nearby.  One of those is an excellent pizza restaurant called Piola.

Piola is a true pizzaria.  They have a very large selection of pizzas with some ingredients you won't find at Pizza Hut.  One thing I noticed was that none of the pizzas had more than one type of meat, and a number of them had no meat at all, so no meat lovers pizza here.  I had the quattro formaggi, which is Italian for "four cheeses".  The four cheeses were mozzarella, parmesan, gorgonzola, and brie.  I've never had gorgonzola or brie on a pizza, and it turned out to be very good.

I would definitely recommend that you visit Piola if you're in the neighborhood.  The service was very good, and the pizza was great.

By the way, I wasn't trying to put down Pizza Hut in this review.  I happen to really like Pizza Hut.
