I received a Sephora Scent Sampler set which contained a sample of Aquolina Pink Sugar.  The scent sampler came with a certificate to get a full sized bottle of the scent I liked the best.  The Aquolina Pink Sugar was the first scent I nixed.  I just instantly didn't like it!  I reviewed my choices very closely before buying, and after each review Aquolina got a thumbs down right away.

The Advertisment: This scent is described as "An Italian blend of Sicilian Orange and bergamot, with mouthwatering notes of vanilla, and caramel wrapped around a creamy marshmallow center"

After reading the advertisement, I would say that this scent does smell exactly like that... and it does smell good... if it were a coffee drink!  However, it's not something to eat or drink and is instead something you are supposed to wear so in the end I'm not fond of it.  I have learned through this scent sampler that I prefer flowery or fruity smells.  Instead of being something I wanted to wear, Aquolina just made me crave a vanilla caramel coffee!  I don't really like to smell like food.

The more I smell, I can pick out the variety of scents each on their own.  Together the mix is ok, it's just overall not ideal for me.  It's a pretty strong scent that can be smelled before I even open the bottle, almost overwhelming.  I will still use up the remainder of the sampler, but I won't be buying this one anytime soon.  The description says this perfume is "loved by men" but I really didn't ask my husband's opinion :)  I have to like the smell too!  So if you are into foodie scents, go ahead and give this a whiff, otherwise stay away.

In response to GigiandAdonai's comment from Jun 8, 2009 at 11:59AM:

I didn't even consider that! It probably does have sugar in it, I mean it smells like sweet food! I saw other reviews say it smells like cotton candy or caramel corn and I'd agree with that too. Either way, I'd rather eat it then where it :)

I wonder if this would attract bugs and wildlife? :+) I like clean scents and sophisticated/glamorous ones. My signature perfume is D&G Light Blue and then Coco Mademoiselle Chanel.
