Pink Sugar by Aquolina 1.7 oz Eau de Toilette Spray for Women —

Quick View: Everyone was gushing over Pink Sugar so I got some. After all, I have to keep up with the divas. It's OK but, after a month of use, I have pinned down (with the help of my son) what it smells like. Carmel corn. Hmm.

About Pink Sugar by Aquolina 1.7 oz Eau de Toilette Spray for Women

This also comes in a larger 3.4 ounce size and has loads of layering accessories to go with it. I bought Pink Sugar because it was all the rage. No other reason. I never smelled it and I didn't need it. But everyone was raving so the diva in me didn't want to be left out. This pretty pink accented glass bottle contains the following: sugary sweet notes of cotton candy, strawberry, raspberry and orange which fade to reveal sensual mid notes of lily of the valley, fig leaves, and barbe-a-papa. The scent finishes on rich, soft base notes of vanilla, amber, musk, and woods.

That sounds weird. The scent was ehh for me. I wasn't sure what it reminded me of at first. It definitely smelled sugary and smelled like candy. However, it had some amber and other notes that kept it from being sicky sweet. I wore it but I didn't love it. One day, my son walked in and asked what smelled like caramel corn. I told him he was loony. I didn't have any in the house. He came back out of the room he was in and insisted he smelled caramel corn and wanted some. By then, I started to smell it too. It was the Pink Sugar! That's what it smells like to me! Is that good?

Frankly, this is more of a youthful fragrance that I am not enthralled by. I like light, fresh scents like D&G Light Blue whereas this was a strong sweet scent. I didn't hate it but I didn't love it. I only wear it now and then now and it smells more like caramel corn every time because that is in my head now. It's fine for those who like sweet scents. I do like foody and fruity scents but this is such a mish mash of scents that I can't get one bold note from it. It's OK but not the sensation that everyone else thinks it is, in my opinion.

My Viewpoint

Sense of smell is very individual. What I like you may hate and vice a versa. This is an average fragrance for me that is somewhat strong and overpowering. It's definitely a youthful scent with no floral notes that I could pick up. But it's now caramel corn and it's hard to wear because that is in my head. If you like that smell though, you'll love Pink Sugar! 3 stars.
