The Pines of Naples, in Arlington VA is a quiet little restaurant on the top of a 2 story walkup -- it is a pleasant place to spend an evening with friends OR by yourself.
Iliana ("eeleeana"), the owner, cook and matire d' -- makes her own Italian food from scratch and dotes on each customer like a wonderful Italian mother or grandmother would -- many of the folks in this restaurant are "regulars", and judging by the food and the service, I can understand why!
The menu is 3 pages long, with a GOOD portion of one page devoted to nothing but Vegetarian Italian specialties -- no matter what you order, all of the selections in the entire menu are tasty and filling -- and the price is right!!!
The appetizers are also not to be missed, the wine list and beverage list is very good, and at the end of your dinner, make sure you save room for an espresso, with a cannoli or a tartufo, or any one of the other equally delicious dessert selections!!
