I am repulsed by the "new" scent of the so-called "Original" scented Pine-Sol- it is NOTHING like the great old scent- I used to buy it just for that smell- but no more- I know I am not alone in this- PLEASE change the scent back, otherwise you will lose a lot more customers- BAD IDEA all around!

Pine-Sol is the go-to cleaner for anything and everything in your house. It can be used in spray bottles for counters or pretty much any surface, mix it with boiling hot water to mop the floors, or just use a good old fashioned scrub brush with some water and Pine-Sol in the bathtub or shower to clean up. This is very easy to use and is not as harsh as some other chemicals such as bleach so you do not always have to use gloves if you do not have any handy. The cleaning aspect works just as well as anything else and better than most! You do not have to scrub very hard to get pesky hard-to-clean grime off of any surface. The smell is not so great as some other flowery smelling cleaners, but it gets everything clean and germ free so I can live past the smell. It is also cost effective because of the basic price and quantity provided. Also, you can get more clean for less because it works twice as hard as other cleaners. If you are in a pinch, you can always add a little more water to the mix. I recommend one bottle for every home.

I must say that I have previously and in the past purchased and used this Pine Sol Original Liquid Cleaner and I was not happy with it at all. As a matter of fact, this product repulsed me. This Pine Sol Original Liquid Cleaner has the worst smell I have almost ever smelled in a cleaning product. It was horrible. When I smelled this product even after diluting it with water it made me sick and nauseated. I will never use this product again. Another thing is that I found it did not really clean it just made it smell like you did. When I used it to mop it left my floor not looking clean and shiny but filmy looking. Even when I diluted it with extra water it smelled bad. It did not clean good at all. I was very disappointed with this product. The only good thing about it is the price is very reasonable but not worth it to me as I cant use it. Now this is my personal opinion and I am sure others do not feel the same.

Back before our family started switching to more natural cleaners Pine-Sol Original Liquid Cleaner was a cleaner we used in our house. We used it mostly for mopping the floor. It did a pretty good job of getting sticky grime off the floor and making the floor shine (both linoleum and hardwood), but the scent, although pleasant, is very strong and would give me a head ache. I did not feel comfortable having my children (two little girls) around this cleaner. Although it performed relatively well, I am not giving it a super-high rating, because I am not comfortable with the chemicals that are found in Pine-Sol Original Liquid Cleaner. In my opinion your hard earned money would be better spent on safer, more natural floor cleaners (such has method) that cost around the same price and sometimes even cheaper. If you do not want to "go green" this product does do the job and will give you the clean look that you want.

In my opinion, Pine-Sol Original Liquid Cleaner is one of the best products for cleaning floors. I don't have carpeting anywhere in the house, so I need a reliable product that will clean effectively without ruining the floor. Pine-Sol is a great cleaner. Just add a tiny bit of the cleaner to a bucket of water, and you have an incredible floor cleaner. I'm a big fan of traditional mop and bucket cleaning. It just does the job so much better than all the fancy new electric floor mops. And nothing beats the scent of Pine-Sol. Maybe not everyone will agree, but I absolutely love the scent of Pine-Sol. I love the way the whole house smells fresh and clean for days after cleaning the floors. It does a good job of removing shoe scuff marks, dirt, and whatever else comes into the house. Pine-Sol will very likely be a cleaner I will use for the rest of my life. There is no replacement for this cleaner.

I would say that Pine Sol is still a very good product, but that I simply don;t care for it anymore. I used to keep it in the house for my everyday cleaning and used it for toilets, and floors. I always thought the smell was kind of overpowering and almost offensive. But I stuck with it because everybody else would always say how much they loved it. Well, I've decided I don't love it and there are many other products out there that I can use in place of Pine Sol, that I really do like. The quality of the cleaning power of Pine sol is very good, and it does do the job. I just don't like the nuisance of having to mix a bucket to prepare to clean with this product and then not really enjoy the outcome. I can say that Pine Sol does enjoy a longevity in the market that many products cannot boast about. I'm sure there are many people who would disagree with me about my assessment of Pine Sol and it would be best for you to try it out and make your own assessment. My summary for this one is that it does work well, it is a little inconvenient to use and I really don't like the strong and pungent smell. If you like the smell, then it may be a good fit for you.

OK, it's not sexy. It's something we've all grown up with. There are many choices out there today that look way more interesting. But dear old Pine-Sol Original Liquid is still around for a very good reason: it works! It's the one thing I've found (and I've tried everything) that cleans my black ceramic cooktop with no streaks. Read it again: With! No! Streaks! It's also one of the most economical cleaning choices out there. In addition to pouring in my mop bucket and cleaning my kitchen and bathroom floors, I put 1/4 cup in a (recycled) spray bottle, fill the rest with tap water, and the bottle lasts me a year in the kitchen for wiping down countertops and perpetually cleaning my cooktop (I would never recommend a black cooktop to anyone). I'm reducing the number of bottles I have to store in my limited cabinet space, and this product is one that I'll always find room for! Scent Although it would be fun to have a floral or lavender scent here, the original scent smells clean and homey to me.

Pine-Sol Liquid Cleaner is a classic for a reason. The scent is very strong, but it is tolerable, especially in a well ventilated area. When I break out the Pine-Sol it means that there is a grimy, gross mess to tackle. It works great on all types of hard flooring surfaces. I have found it to be very effective in situations where the surface needs not only a good clean but also some disinfecting and a boost of fresh scent. I have used Pine-Sol both at home and also at work. It works great in bathrooms because it can really tackle bathroom-type problems. At work I like to use it on my tile flooring, especially in the spring and fall when a lot of extra dirt seems to magically appear. It can also tackle dust since it seems to cling to the Pine-Sol solution better than other floor cleaners. I have never tried a different scent other than the original because I have certainly come to associate that strong Pine smell with the effectiveness of the product.

I just can not recommend this product to anyone. I just can't. The smell is unmistakable. Once you've smelled it, the scent stays in your memory forever and never goes away. My eyes are starting to water the more I think about it. Pour this liquid into a bucket and you end up with a murky, cloudy liquid that you don't want to stick your bare hands into. Be sure to have thick, elbow length gloves on and try not to get any on yourself or else you'll never get the smell off. Open all of the windows and turn some music up loud so that the neighbors can't hear you retch and gag as you use it to clean your floors. Everyone will know that your floors are clean but they won't stay long because the smell lingers the same way the stink stays in shoes after a hot day walking through a theme park. Have I mentioned the smell? It's really horrible. I'd rather use bleach and we all know that bleach stinks enough as it is. By the way, don't mix this with bleach. Ever.
