Living in Florida for the past five years we have had few opportunities to start fires. My husband isn't the most outdoorsy person around. His idea of hiking is spending the day walking around Outdoor World looking at all the camping supplies. Last year we bought a vacation home in Tennessee and it just happened to have a fireplace. Our first winter visit to the house was, of course, cold so we decided we were going to start a fire and enjoy a nice warm living room.

We would have been lost without the Pine Mountain Starter Loggs. I guess that I could have reached back to my Girl Scout days or we could have simply Goggled fire starting but this was so much easier. We bought the logs, put a couple in the fireplace with some firewood and lite the fire. That simple. The starter logs burned until the firewood eventually caught on and my husband felt like a real outdoorsman.

We  bought a chiminia recently for the house in Florida and purchased the logs to use in it also. You can't go wrong with this little helper. It's easy to use, affordable and found at many major department stores, even in Florida.

Maybe I'll try these. My apartment has a fireplace and I'd like to use it as the weather cools off.
