Pillsbury Pie Crusts —

I had a serious craving for a homemade pot pie the other day, so the non-baker-that-loves-to-cook that I am went to the store and bought Pillsbury Pie Crusts.  They were extremely inexpensive and time-saving since I don't even own a pastry cutter or rolling pin.

A package of Pillsbury Pie Crusts includes two pie crusts for a 9-inch pie.  Each pie crust is rolled up so all you have to do is unroll them and they are ready to go.  The package states that they are freezable for up to two months, which is great if you don't need to use both of the rolls in the package.

For my pot pies, I rolled out the crusts on a cutting board and used the bowls for the pot pie as a "cookie cutter" so that it fit my bowl perfectly.  I poured my pot pie mixture into a bowl and placed my pie crust on top.  Baked it in the oven for a while and out came a gorgeous pot pie with a golden, flaky crust on top.  The crust is buttery and flaky and delicious.  Not that I bake, but if I did, I would NEVER roll my own dough if these wonderful pie crusts are available in the stores.

Pillsbury Pie Crusts are worth every penny - not that they're expensive, because they're not.  I will ALWAYS use these when I am in need of pie crusts!

These are lifesavers. I usually make my own crust, but in a pinch, these work. They used to be folded in fourths and had a crease in them but the new packaging has made them much easier to use without splitting

I never thought of using pre-made crusts for pot pies! What a great idea! If you say these are good, then they are good!

I'm not a baker at all, that's why I love these, they do the hard work for me!

LOL...I know, it's best you not think about calories or cholesterol when making quiche. I tried substituting Egg Beaters once, but it really doesn't taste the same. So now I just make it as a treat every once in a while.

I have been wanting to make quiche for a long time now. There are so many darn eggs in there, I don't want to know how much cholesterol I would be consuming :) Yum, now I want a Quiche Lorraine!

I use these when I bake quiche. The crust never fails to turn out well. :)
